04 TL problems (fading dash, battery, noises)
We have a 04 TL with the following problems: faded dash, battery, and noise. My question is are these problem cover under warranty? It was my mom's car and she never drove it much. To this day it only has 23,000 miles on it and it has always been garaged.
The car has been passed down to me. First week driving it, the noise and rattles are unbearable at times, the dash looks noticeably faded, and the battery is very weak. I was cleaning my car with only the radio on, and about 30mins later the battery is dead. I am bringing to car to the dealership sometime this week to get these problems fix.
I did some reading regarding the dash, and that should be an easy fix on their part as I think they will apply some coating which will restore it. As for the battery, will that be covered under the 4yr 50,000 miles warranty? And for the noise and rattles.....which seems to be coming from multiple places, how should I approach this? Thanks in advance for the help.

I hate to say it, but search. I currently have a faded dash issue and am in the process of trying to resolve it. It's not as simple as going to the dealer and they replace it. As for the battery, there are some cases of batteries getting replaced, but the car is 3 plus years old and hasn't been driven much. Pony up the $70 to $100 and buy a battery, it's really not Acura's problem. Sitting is hard on standard batteries. As for the rattles, try to figure out where they are coming from and the dealers should help you out. Do a search on here first though, fixing them yourself is sometimes worth it, you don't run the risk of the dealer screwing something up. Go to the garage on this site for answers to a lot of questions (and questions you haven't even thought of asking yet). Good luck.
