rears took me about 4 hours total. Grinded them down, cleaned, painted multiple coats of paint and 2 coats of clear, wait an hour and a half.

Then assemble, let sit over night, and then youre good to go! Rear calipers dont get overly hot but when it does the day later then it will cure the paint that much better. Mine look great!

Hmm so essentially i need two days, a luxury i dont have ill have to do it on my vaca. Thanks for the info man! Where did u get ur paint from? Did u consider getting them powdercoated?

i did but i didnt want to have it down and powercoating would have cost a hell of a lot more.

i got my paint from advanceautoparts. its called engine metallic. I got the gold flake to match the brembo gold from the g35's. obviously with a high heat clear coat too. pretty reasonabaly priced over powdercoating if i dont say so myself. i did it in one night so you would be allright to do it and let it sit over night

they get dirty fast, and are your rear calipers painted white as well? im about to paint mine too just asking general question... cant decide on red with black lettering or gold with black lettering

I would assume your painting your front brembos as well? Im doing my rears gloss black to match the fronts, i have a WDP and black matches it good. Ill probably change it down the line once the fronts start to fade out

I thought about it but most of the modded TLs in my area don't have them. I'll keep them on just to be different

Plus I don't trust anyone in any parking lot anywhere

I was actually considering the door moldings myself so that maybe I won't be as paranoid where I park and if someone is going to slam their door into mine. I've never had to consciously think so much about parking and now have to consider location, spacing, which direction the surrounding cars are facing, etc. I guess that's just what happens when you get a new toy.

They are more subtle then I thought, especially with the a-spec kit. I actually didn't even notice until someone else mentioned it. I think it kind of goes with the door handle and side marker line above it.

I am debating the same thing right now as well.
I didn't even notice them until a friend pointed them out as not having been on my other TL.

They are subtle like mugen-k mentions it serves to protect against nasty parking lot dings.
Mind you I try to park further away from everyone whenever possible.
The worst is when someone comes and parks right beside you after going through all the trouble...

Luckily the back up camera is standard on all Type-S's and never thought I'd be using it as much as I am but I constantly adjust my parking so it definitely comes in handy lol.

Went to IFO in Baytown yesterday. Had a blast but only posted a 14.7 First time ever dragging in an auto. There were three other UA7's there and they were all KBP.

i need some help guys... I am trying to get a feel for what the kbp will look like with the headlight reflector smoked vs. clear vs. oem amber... the pic above is a good representation of the clear, but i cant find one anywhere that has the smoked reflector thats not a tint overlay. pics or links preferable!! thanks
