Thanks! The way i was parked for those pics in both locations the ground slopes backwards so it looks weird. But it may need a tad of an adjustment though

Still waiting on a response from supercomputers about the defect in the door sills. Ill post pictures up when they are all working right. Dont want to post anything up thats half a**ed

I carry four5's like change for a twenty!!!!!!!!!!!

I can live with the number. 75 is a good number also

Gonna be doing the relay / independant switch mod coming up and am thinking about swapping ballasts and bulbs in fogs to:
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...roducts_id=160

but should I just get this kit to get the relay I need as well?
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...oducts_id=3952

and buy the 3000k D2S bulbs for fogs and use the 5000k bulbs for headlights???

Or would it be better to just get the ballast and bulbs for fogs in D2S and get the D2S 5000k bulbs and get the relay harness like in the DIY write up.

I am willing to redo anyway because I need different fog bulbs and I never did like the 8k headlights that are already in the car.
Plus my ballasts flicker on my fogs and would like to kill a couple birds with one stone when I take my bumper off again.

Any advice will help because I will be buying all required stuff to have it by next weekend.

And crabby numbers don't matter just needed to change my sig, and my stickers on my car and my t-shirts I had made and get the tattoo (tramp stamp) re-done to show the correct number.

honestly man, ive done the independant fog hid's already and wouldnt pay 150 bucks for the kit from there. Yes they might be better than ebay, but i can get a complete h8 kit shipped to my door with a 2 year warranty on bulbs and ballasts for 32 bucks. I can get almost buy 5 replacement kits on ebay for the cost of one set of the ones on that link. Just my honest opinion. And to top it all off, ive had them in my maxima for 3 years and now the TL for a little over a year and only had to replace the bulbs once because i touched the bulb when taking them out of the maxima.

As far as the relay pack goes, I had to use it and followed the DIY to a T. Not sure how it would have worked without it. Works like a champ though. I have 8000k bulbs in my headlights and 8000k bulbs in my fogs and it matched perfect.

I would just leave the ballasts in the headlights alone and get some replacement bulbs if you dont like the 8000k and just get the h8 hid kit and harness for the fogs on ebay.

Of course not. I'm a huge pack rat when it comes to car parts.

Want to help me install the rotors and pads (at your place) whenever I get them

i was the first one in my group of friends to get the TL.
i started modifying and since no one else had the TL at the time, I just threw the old rotors away. they were perfectly fine.
then along came Jon. with his type-s.

Yeah not replacing ballast for headlights. Just gonna get 5k bulbs and take the 8k's out. So they match my switchbacks.

I just want to replace my fog hid ballasts with better ones and get 3k bulbs but for the ind. fog mod I will need a relay kit either way. So for ballasts, bulbs and relay I figured 150.00 wasn't too bad. Another 35.00 or whatever for headlight bulbs.

My fogs now are the AMP style and was going to convert everything to D2S without having to use a switchover harness to keep everything simpler for later on.

I am in that group buy for the rotors/pads as well. And I will be keeping my rotors (after turning them) and pads (75% life left at least) but with the new rims the brakes show a little more.

That way I will only have to paint my rear calipers and swap brake lines.

Sounds good man! I so want to get in on that group buy for the brakes, but funds are a little tight right now

Been absent lately partially due to work and partially due to lack of motivation to mod. But I'm slowly getting it back.

Got the requisite maintenance done:
Trans fluid
Oil/Filter
Cabin Filter
Brake Fluid

Time to start modding... probably simple lights first: ordered License plate LEDs and Reverse Lights (Cree). Got my fog light overlays from BlueBat, so, once the digital HIDs get here, its off with her face!!!!

unlucky for some of us we have to have it forward facing of the vehicle. I hate it on the front in the center...looks so much cleaner without it there

I'm thinking about getting one of these since I recently got a warning from a state trooper for not running my front plate:

Definitely not going with the motorized one bc the chances are very good that I'll destroy the whole thing on a curb.

yea... its plausable. only problem is that i dont like how you can still see it underneath the bumper when its down. Ive seen a couple peoples pictures on here that have them and i cant justify it. Plus im with you, im sure that it will get destroyed on a speedbump or something...
