quick question since i've seen both answers searching through the forum....this weekend i will install the XLR8 j-pipe, do I need to disconnect the battery/reset the ECU after the installation?? I have a manual and I have heard both yes and no on other threads.

what about when I install the XLR8 catback? thanks in advance!

I always reset the ecu after installing power adders. you do this to make sure the ecu adapts to the new equipment properly. You can disconnect the battery, but its much easier with the accelerator pedal method. No tools just waiting 30 seconds. Do a search for ecu reset and youll find a bunch of threads explaining. It was night and day for mine when i did it the first time since i dont think it had ever been done.

I've read about both resets, but can you do the pedal reset with manuals? i read from some people that you can't. Do you have an MT or AT?

I have an AT... missed that part of your post. I dont know if it will work or not on the 6mt.. Dont know why it wouldnt. I like the pedal reset because then i dont have to worry about entering the code for the navi or the radio. Much less hassle

thats what im nervous about. I have mine in the windshield but i know sooner or later im going to get pulled for it. I just hate the way it looks with it on the front. its a good idea i just hate the idea of spending 150 on it and then get it ripped off or bent up going over a speed bump

I no longer have a front plate on. I use to have it in the window until I saw this article.....

Texas License Plates Become Optional -http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/36/3656.asp

"As part of the update, the new law deleted the license plate statute, returning parts of it to Section 502.473 and 504.943. In moving around the legal language, the bill went through the entire legislative process without anybody noticing that a key line was deleted without providing a replacement: "An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $200."

You won't be stopping that late on a bump stop again after a drop.

Selling a set of 2010 pilot rims that are brand new take-offs and my question is will the TPMS sensor from those work with the Type S??? I hope to be ordering a set of ronjons from that killer sale but don't want to take the tires off the stockers.

Not sure where to look to find answers but will start searching unless anyone on here knows about TPMS sensors.
Thanks

IMHO, take it off your front windshield. If I were a cop, a license plate being visible in the windshield would catch my eye moreso than one not even being there. Just my

Yeah don't think sensors will work that sucks. I picked them up for my odyssey but found out they are 5x120 pattern so double suck.......

I would be down for a meet. If we do it in July I will be all over that.

New Mexico has a statewide Honda meet in Alburquerque every March if anyone is in that area.

To their credit, the Type-S emblem is probably real. It's just on the wrong car.

I'd think that would instantly bring embarrassment to the "Base Type-s" driver. Like back in the days... Integra "Type-R" GSR/LS/SE/GS's... and don't forget the extremely rare Integra Type-R SE. hehe

Damn posers . So I've had my TLS for a little more than a month and I'm going to sell it. It's a great car, don't get me wrong, it's just not for me. I'm going to DD the X and get a GTR while I'm young enough to enjoy it. Just don't see the point of waiting for something you really want and waiting for it unless it's totally out of reach. I know all too well what can happen in the blink of an eye . Would've liked to take it cross country like I originally planned to but oh well, that's what rentals are for. Makes more sense for me to keep my Evo than sell it being that it's just about paid off. So thanks to 07tl-s6spd for the plethora of PMs answered .

No, but when you pull next to someone and talk down to them cause you drive a "type s" and they don't then you make yourself look like an asshole. just saying.

Damn! A GTR!! NICE!!!!!!! Good luck bro. You probably won't need the X anymore either once you get the GTR. Imo. Gozilla is king AWD! Get something gas savy with 4 doors.
