commission isn't all that great really...one day at a time around here. plus spas aren't selling at all recently...

either way, acurazine has an incredible knack for making you broke lol

next week i'll be installing an AEMv2 intake and p2r spacer.

the following weekend will be the type-s aspec kit, and v3 pcds...pending shipping dates.

coilovers when the weather gets nicer, maybe in the next few months. either megans or h2specs...can't decide.

yeah i'd like to...but why fix something that isn't broke? WHEN i upgrade my brakes, i'll do it right with d/s rotors, nom nom pads and ss lines. until then...these will have to suffice.

Oh wtf. Sorry dude

If I were you I would just get some brand new ones. Don't rely on people who always back out at the last second. Personally I'm shooting for the TEIN Basics when my stock shocks blow. They aren't the super-duper SS, but they get the job done.

^yeah that is what i'll end up doing. besides, suspension parts are a vital part of the car...so it'd be a good idea to know that they are in perfect shape and not hand-me-downs that could be abused.

i'll end up getting megans or function/form type 2's from heeltoe. can't decide which ones i want...both are basically the same.

id suggest something with damper especially with how the roads are in Baltimore lol. I know from experience with the basics, thus the reason why i upgraded to the SS.

Your car will look sick once u get that aspec on hopefully itll be on for the next meet??

yeah i fully agree...might as well spend the extra money and get damper. that's why i can't decide between the 2 different kinds.

yesss can't wait for the kit. it'll be on the day i get it, so hopefully before march! whenever ack sends them out.

yeah its only like ~$200 difference.. might as well get something with damper adjustment. It just now comes down to the quality/craftsmanship of the coilovers. Take a look here if you haven't already done so:

alright so last night i installed a p2r throttle body spacer and an aemv2 cai.

install was pretty straightforward

-removed the front bumper
-removed battery
-took off the OEM intake (tight squeeze)
-removed manifold
-applied a thin layer of liquid gasket to the p2r gaskets
-installed p2r gaskets n spacer

-installed the aemv2 and the only issue i had was the mounting bracket at the bottom near the filter. idk if it's bc this cai is meant for an accord or what, but there was no where to affix the bracket to...so i rigged something up and it turned it great. this is why i always keep random parts laying around, you never know when you're going to need one. anyone else run into this issue?

install took a couple of hours.

initial impressions are what i imagined. the "wow factor" comes from the sound, but it also feels a bit more peppy. this could be due to the sound, ecu reset, and excitement...but i do feel a slight difference. overall i'm happy with how it turned out.

one thing i'll have to do is get a new filter for the intake...this one is used up. other than that, here we go.

*p2r throttle body spacer n liquid copper gasket*

*aemv2 intake*

*battery removed n stock intake loose*

*stock intake removed*

*bumper off*

*oem intake*

*aemv2 in vicinity*

*bottom of intake*

*manifold removed, thin layer applied*

*thin layer applied to p2r gaskets*

*installed n yes i cleaned up the excess crap *

*mounting bracket i made for intake*

*close up of bracket*

*all done!*

Very nice Aaron.
I'm glad you were able to get it installed. Taking the bumper off is the only way to go with this install, IMO. A lot of people are intimidated, but its not that bad. Good job with the bracket, although I did not need one for mine once I moved the star ground.
Looking forward to assisting with your next project!

how do you like it mated up with the RV6 V3 j-pipe? does it have a nice growl? my next mod is a polished cai and the spacer. I would get the AEM V2 but it doesn't come polished.

I see there is that little vacuum like there on the CAI and it's plugged up, and see some members without it plugged up? What is that and where did the line that was suppose to be there go?

def more bark with the intake installed...it sounds nice. i would get the aemv2 anyway, polished or not...the beefier tube will give you that sound you're searching for.

yeah i noticed that too...there is no line that is supposed to go to it on our TL's...i think it's an accord thing. maybe someone else can chime in and confirm that.

thanks tyler!

yeah i had the plastic covers on but decided to take all of them off except for the engine cover. i just think it looks better that way. i like to see everything, the plastic is just cosmetic anyway.

Woot! Install is straight forward...do the sides first (piece of cake) the front and back take a little time just because of the drilling into your bumper (nerve racking to say the least)...can't wait for the install pics also what's the benefit of the p2r to the cai?

thanks for the vote of confidence...i'll just take my time with it. the whole drilling part makes me nervous.

thanks. the bracket was nothing special. just a piece of metal n drilled 2 holes on each end and secured them in place with a washer n bolt. it gripped tight and will def keep the intake in place n allow it to not move around.

hey shark don't let the drilling part scare you. there are little points on the inside of the bumper to show you where to drill. you'll have to rub your hand over the are a few times to pinpoint it but trust me they are there. if you were close to me I'd give ya a hand with it, it would probably take me about an 1 hour to do it.

yeah i've been scanning the install guide this morning...i see those drill points you're talking about. you think you could really do the whole thing in an hour?

i'm hoping i can get it all done in less than 4...i've never installed any kind of lip/body kit so this should be fun. i'm stoked.
