contemplating future mods

Man... I was the first person to piston this thread and now 1444 post later here I am
Right now I am rolling and most likely having to pull my fenders and I remembered reading this thread and seeing that you cut off that little tab where the front fender met the bumper. I am trying to figure out if there is any better way to gain some clearence up there in order to fit a 265 tire... This is proving to be quite difficult... Which brings me to my question;
Does all of the modding that you are doing create any stress for you? I keep thinking that I am getting in over my head and then I look at more and more progress on you end. How in the hell do you do it? Each mod that you have done looks great (with the exception of the carbon fiber outlined reverse lights). I think that my favorite aesthetic mod that you have done were the white calipers. Everything thing looks very proper. Keep up the great work

think you'll go to either one of the meets at the end of the month?

yessir! dropped the wheels off and good to go. just ordered the innovative LC1, bung, and pillar gauge holder. now i just need to find some matching interior carpet/cloth to wrap the gauge holder on the pillar. similar to what jptl04 did with his valentine one gauge.
i'll send payment for knock sensor friday morning.

modding create stress? hell yes it does...i feel like there is no finish line in sight. BUT, that said...i enjoy everything i do and look forward to the next project. yeah the CF reverse light things were just ridiculous...i tore them off the same day haha. don't know what was going on upstairs that day...

Damn Jamie...just when I thought I was cool with my color-modded V1 display, you post that up. Looks amazing, but I'm surprised you don't have your pillars wrapped in CF!

ATU just sells base and clear. As far as I can see they make no high temp paints. Is this correct? Don't you think you're brembos are going to get a little hot?
If everyone think that's ok I'm totally painting mine laguna seca blue...

^i had the same concern. but after talking with murph143 (he's had his painted for a while now)...he's had no issues whatsoever.
and so far, mine are good to go. i haven't even had to clean them yet. they are still as white and pristine as they were the day i painted them.

Not to hijack here but I wonder, just for peace of mind, if using that base but then high temp duplicolor clear would give you added protection.
Anyways, good job.
Edit: Where did you get the cf brembo logo? Ebay?

i would not mix different companies products together...it can have adverse effects.

The high temp clear won't matter...it's the base coat that makes direct contact with the heat. This stuff is probably just not labeled high temp...and the outer skin of the caliper doesn't get nearly as hot as we all think it does...if you turn your hot water to hot, you can't stand it at it's hottest and normally that's about 140 degrees...
J.
PS, I was only referencing that it would be said that you HAVE a boner, not that you're in a boner. That is all.

with the camber being so negative, it rides great. no complaints at all! and i love not having the fear of rubbing anymore. that alone is a great feeling.

alright, this morning went to a cars n coffee meet. they're held every saturday apparently, but i'm just now finding out about it. 5 mins from my house...so i decided to make an appearance. bunch of nice cars showed up...i'll post a video tomorrow.
afterwards, decided to finish the audio once and for all. went to home depot, got some 3/4 MDF and got busy.
drawn out template (courtesy of DeathMetal )
all wrapped up with dark charcoal carpet fabric. used 3M adhesive spray to hold it in place.
also wrapped the supporting MDF table to hold everything. used some wood and screwed down a makeshift holder so the sub doesn't slide around. did the same thing in the spare tire well, which houses the both JL amps and crossovers. carpeted everything and screwed them in place...forgot to take pics of the amp rack.
MDF board that sub and beauty panel will sit on
beauty panel...fits like a glove! no more wires showing, no more sub showing, no more amps showing. i get my trunk back!
and JL12w6 facing the cabin
