I ask because if we're serious about this Audi thing, I'd highly suggest trying out a used M3...

Thanks for that, Yum. I'm sure, I am also in love with M3's I must admit. I guess I'll have to see where this guy stands. At only 17k miles and being someone I know that owned it...it's tempting me. But you're right...I'm young and have my entire life to build up to it.

But, before you make that jump, I highly urge you to try a preowned M3. I won't sway you either as I truly have no brand-loyalty. But, you may as well check out what's out there.
And of course, if it were up to me, I'd use some of that $$$ for the Audi and well, just buy a nice used NSX. Same price...but, just a step from divinity on wheels.

I agree word for word with Yummy...
There is no point stressing by getting a new car...no point in getting a heartburn every time you turn the key but with that said, if you have the financial flex, do it....I bet that car is rewarding to drive
I will tell you this, this is the only time you can enjoy a 2-door or a sports car....later down the line it will be tough, so do look into something more "sporty" car if you dont have kids planned until 3-5 years down the line....

^Which is the conclusion I came to. I never use the rear seat in the TL. And with no kids nor any plans for them within the next 5 years, now is the time.
M3 is a different animal then the S5. I like them both for different reasons. There is a black 09 M3 with 50k miles locally for $36k!!

DEW IT !!!
I love them M3's....also do look into an RS4....depending on where you live and if you going to take her out in the winter/snow, I would look into an AWD
We are looking to get a bigger sedan (replacement for the wifey's Lex ES300)....the TL becomes a track/street legal animal AND looking to get an 08+ Oddy without frequent visits to the sperm bank

RS4s are nice. If I was going to that level though it'd be a M something or nothing.
All kinds of different used price levels we are discussing here. From high 20s to low 50s. It would honestly be tough for me to drop more then $40k on a car right now. Which is why I keep going back to 335s.

the 335's are just as nice
but why not look for a boosted 370z/s2000 or something in those lines....they will be plenty quick and a lot of fun to drive....
I have been digging the new(er) Z435i the xdrives or the little older Z4m's....

Nah. If I'm moving on from the TL it'll be a high(er) end vehicle.
Something I'm possibly happy with from the factory that can be left mostly as-is.

One thing I meant to ask and then forgot...
How does the stock "newish" Audi projectors hold up to your modified TL lights?

I figured. AFAIK, with our mods, there isn't much out there that will beat our lights.
Edit: Took them apart again eh? That sucks!

NO WAY! I love my advans! My center caps should be here soon, so excited!
Dennis you SOB...I just posted over there actually.
Well, I gave my buddy his car back yesterday. It was sad, but I have to make the best of it and love my car. She's been good to me. He dropped me off at home in his new Porsche 911S. Gorgeous gorgeous car, I'm sure he'll enjoy it.
Plus, he was featured as a model car for the new Vossen wheel release

@ Porsche 911...this, or an used Aston Martin (Vantage?) will likely be my top choices for mid-life crisis car when I'm in my 50s...
I could also consider the GT-R if Nissan is making it.
Awesome pics, dude!

Thanks, Yummy...those are just my S4 pictures. I will probably drive over to the dealership and take the Porsche to one of my spots to shoot it for him if John let's me. I would probably like to shoot it here, behind the Chili's across the street since the red brick with the white contrast would look great.

So what's TL SH-AWD?
J, TL is looking fantastic as always. From the pics at least, doesn't look like a downgrade from the S5 at all!

Thanks boys...I did love it very much.
that picture I posted of my car is old, was just trying to show where I wanted to shoot the porsche.
I have a few updates coming soon that I'll take proper pictures of this weekend, hopefully.
