Drifting
doubt it, man...only true authentic enthusiasts will understand the allure.
I was gonna try and stop and see you, Chad...was on a tight timeline but figured maybe a coffee or something. I couldn't push my luck, B home with a 3 month old on V day weekend...I'm lucky she's a cool chick.
Shoot, I got home and she was like, take it easy babe, you had a long 3 days of driving and then pretended to care as I showed her the car. She's a fkng keeper.
Interesting jacking methods too...holding it up with a bucket and bracing the jack handle under the mirror...
By the way J, those Aspec wheels look way better than the waffles...imho, I know you'll put some pos after market shit on it though, make it look worth 34.50, but I'll give you fiddy for it.

You guys are too much, last night I tinkered with the clutch pedal throw and think I found the sweet spot now...also put the waffles on because I didn't want to cook the snow tires (and they ride like shiet). I also removed and shipped the rear valence to a guy that I'm swapping with...they're hard to find and he has NBP and wants it. Thanks for the well wishes! I promise I'll do right by Justin and this car.
If I have some spare time tonight, I will update the thread with more about what a fun trip it was and more pictures...I have also taken some high res photos since I knew I'd never have her in the snow again.

The car is plenty fast for me...I already had a hard time with 255's and traction in 1st...
I'm working on pics...I'm juggling Daddy dootie, working on cleaning up and researching and ordering things for the car and working and gym!
I have some editing to do but I can at least post some of the stuff about my adventures in Justin, Andy and Tyler's buttholes.

So this being called the "Rockstar143 is a hypocrite" thread, I legitimately thought that J was finally going to come out of the closet.
Boy, was I ever wrong. I knew I shouldn't have bet $50 on it

LOL....my Mother has been in Switzerland for 3 months and returns that week...her birthday is the same month as mine so I'm really not sure if she's got anything planned. You as an individual are good enough for every occasion...but I can't commit to a car meet.
You also will only be in town one weekend and you already gave your normal caveat that you might be drunk and not feel like getting up.

Well, let's begin our journey...
How we selected the day. We talked, we decided, Justin kept his word and took the car to Andy and Acura to have it inspected under a microscope and when it all came back clean (small details needing attention but all cars need those if looked at with scrutiny). It was done, I knew it was done and told him to go ahead and place the order no his lease vehicle before the inspections were done. As I told him, you buy the person you're buying from, you don't buy the car. If the person is a shady cock sucker, you know you'll walk no matter how great the deal or car. So, late January I hit him with a decently substantial deposit via Paypal. Following weekend he would be out of town, the following one to that...a wedding I had to attend. So we discussed with our favorite girls...and my wife, and got the Okay to make this happen Valentine's weekend. Ticket was secured (thanks again Justin...I love your CAK ).
So, let the 3 weeks of worry that someone else might snipe the car begin. But no, alas...Justin is a man of his word...an old schooler, like myself that believes once you have a deal, you keep your end of what you say you will and see it through. And that's exactly what happened. So, the day arrived, and Betty, Zoe and I got up and headed to the airport at 445AM. Southwest was a pleasure to fly, even with the plane full of 13 year old Cheerleaders headed to the ATL that boarded the plane. In a short few hours, I went from 60 degree weather to 11 degrees. Fucking BRRRR...
As planned, Justin was waiting for me at the airport...I left my mark on the bathroom stall before meeting him to ensure I didn't destroy his/Andy's/Tyler's porcelain facilities if it could be avoided. I got to meet his boo...Emily, and teasted him incessantly for the remainder of the day about how she smelled fertil to me and how happy I would be that they would soon make Zoe a little friend. I hadn't seen him sweat the entire time until I mentioned that...
First time I laid eyes on her:
We had some time to kill before stopping by his mechanics shop so we went to his house to have some black. Coffee. I put milk and sugar in mine cause I'm a puss. We talked things over, like life and how much he wanted for his roof rack, and I jumped at the opportunity since I knew I'd probably never pay have such an easy access to one and such a fair price for one. Looked cool, plywood from home depot...the bikes on top instead of on my trunk rack which means no need to drill holes and put a trailer hitch on like I did with my black TL.
Time came, and the question came..."do you want to drive". Originally I passed because I knew I had a fuckloadton of driving ahead of me...but decided it would be prudent to test drive the car I had already bought 2 weeks prior
Holy fucking shit, had a hard time getting in gear...I was not used to the stage 3 clutch and the near freezing temps weren't helping the GMSMFM any either...
but, alas, I expected this...I did have a brief moment of WTFBBQ my black TL is perfect why did I do this...but I decided to be positive and keep faith that this car would be everything I'd been dreaming it was with a little clutch adjustment. We hit up his mechanic ScottSean...who was as big as Paul Bunyan but as sweet as Little Bo Peep...pulled in, told him what we were experiencing...he came out, in the blistering cold with 2 wrenches...did some tinkering in the parking lot while Justin and I played grab ass (I won)...and got in and said "what was the issue?" bammmm...first reverse are hard...gears grind going into gear...NOPE...it's fixed. No charge...and if you guys saw what he originally charged Justin for fender roll, timing belt and clutch change...damn, Ohio is the bomb. What a great guy...shook his hand, that wrapped twice around mind and emasculated me, and we were on our way. Driving to the brewery, we were both aghast at how easy the solution was to the clutch woes...and step one toward our baby's recovery.
We had some time to kill before Andy got out of work somewhere in a warehouse figuring out how to rule the world...away we went to grab a bite to eat that turned out to be a brewery with no food. Yum...cerveza.
Yay...so 2 beers in...we had enough warmth in us to brave the cold and head out
to and seek the greasiest food on earth...in the form of Swansons (I originally confused with Swensons that we have in South FL). Delicious...nearly comatose and tired and fat...we then head back to his house to sign Billosalery Clinton and load up all additional parts he was including...aspecs, type S wheels, and 3.5L intake...roof rack. I had little extra room for my bags, DSLR (yes, I brought it!) and the ability to see out the side view mirror.

and there she is, loaded up to the very top!
come to papa, little mama, i have a home for you where you will be warm, and clean nearly all year long!
and then we arrived at Oz...and the man behind the curtain...
the beast...5 hundred and sixty power of horses in that bay...dying to break those tires loose. Under construction because when you're not a big pussy, you have a real racecar, like Andy. To respect his privacy, I didn't take too many pics of his car, plus it was on jackstands and it was dark.
and there he is...a man, a legend, a kind person that once treated me like a facebook 3G retired (pro: retard) and now calls me his friend. Many thanks for opening your heart and home and letting me crash for the night. The house was spotless with almost no car parts in it.
and there she is...the morning I'm to depart...with a solid 2 inches of slow on her and the ground, guess I'm glad Justin had the foreskin(sight) to leave the snow tires on!
and with that, it's wife and baby time...
TO BE CONTINUED...
(anyone old enough to remember those once a week where you had to tv guide and if you didn't get to see it you just missed it, you didn't have the option of rewinding and dvr'ing?...and the network would always leave you the biggest cliffhanger, and you'd see 2 minutes until the hour ended and KNEW...but hoped not...that it was about to BE FUCKING CONTINUED...NOOOOOOOOOO).

Congrats on the new car, Jeremy! I can't wait to read about the rest of your journey home and see what you'll do to this thing. This car is going to photograph so much better than your old one. I foresee a lot of great pics coming from you in this thread.

^^^ I was about to say the same thing. Both TLs and toss in the s2k for good measure. Make sure the Caddy doesn't sneak into the shots though, you don't want to seem like a pretentious snot with *four* cars.
