Radar Install Pics, Whistler PRO 3450
Here are some pics I have of a remote radar install I did on an 04 TL
Two pics of the control unit, the radar sensor is mounted in the bumper. Mounted the control unit in the dash using a dremel to cut out the hole.
And here is the laser sensor, mounted infront of the rear view mirror.
At night the radar display glows blue, matching the instrument panel nicely

aright, its my buddies car, so you can blame him that its dirty. lol. I think he got the radar off ebay for like, 150 or something.
His username is MoReace, so post about your dirty car and cost of radar please!
Edit: Actually, if you look in the third picture, he's the guy in the background of the laser sensor pic.

Props on the install, but I hate to rain on your parade, laser normally is aimed at your front plate and that is one of the reasons it is recommended you install the unit closer to the bottom of the dash....at least that's what was on my manual when I bought my radar detector...
And one more point , you will rely solely on the sound since it will be hard to see the warning LEDs as you can on the units mounted on the windshield or dash....
Again these are observations and not flames....great job, how much for the unit??...

Yeah, he wanted it hidden, so that was the only place I could put it where it would be hidden, yet still have a cahnce of working. Again with the control unit, he wanted hit has low profile as possible, so I guess he would rely on sound, and if he heard it beep, he could glance over at the unit to see what band or strength. I dunno, he's a weird kid to begin with.

peice of crap radar.. stupid decision to cut a hole in that part of the dash... should have put it on the under peice.. So when you get sick of the shitty radar and want to take it, you're pretty much fucked now
