Looking good! Why the coat of primer on the gauge pod? Smoother?
#802
Thanks guys
To wrap it I'll be spraying it with some adhesive, and since the filler is porous I don't want it to absorb into it. So I used the primer as a barrier, plus it helps to see any high or low spots on the work piece. I haven't wrapped it since Im making a custom peice to house the V1 unit and will need to wrap that as well. I'll take pics and post soon.
Thanks rodney, That is was a future mod down the line. But I gotta save it for later.

well i had to put the V1 install on hold was doing some CF work for a member here,
this is only a pic when it was in the beginning stages first coat of resin, after a light sanding and two more coats of resin and it was smooth as glass.
well guys, the 21lb Braille died! it was a victim of to many electrical mods. i have two amps, dvd player, illuminated sills, illuminated floor mats, under dash under seat lighting, 3 extra 7" monitors, 3 digital gauges, led halos, hid fogs, hid reverse lights, etc..... to much for that lil guy.
so i got me a bigger power cell
it has like twice the power output. which is great and more than enough to power up all my crap. but i'll have to fabricate a new mounting bracket for it, and battery tie down. plus use all new connectors and battery terminals. trust me guys it will look nothing like in the picture once i get done with it. i have all materials and stuff i need. i just need to get off my butt.
so the other night i designed a tie down, went to the hardware store this morning and picked up a 1 1/2" stock piece of aluminum. i made this all free hand using just a drill, jigsaw, and some files.
hmmmm how would some CF behind it look?
im not done with it yet, plus i still need to make the mounting bracket for the HC1400. somehow ill finish the V1 and battery install and post up pics stay tunned. IT NEVER ENDS!

Baby steps
Finished the bracket to hold the new battery and the custom tie down. As you can see I couldn't just leave the blue kinetic cell like that.
I have a CF cover for a Braille 21lb battery if anyone wants it $40 pm me
Hopefully I'll get this in the car and finish up my V1 install this weekend.
