I was busy as hell on Thursday.
My 3rd and 4th gear pressure switched were suppose to come on Thursday with Fedex. They did but I missed him. Went to Fedex to get the package 8:30.
Drove to dad's friend...or let me say to his car that has every tool, and we replaced the switched.

What a difference on 2-3-4. Perfect

Had a 3 hours of sleep. Drove to friend and picked him up and his girlfriend.

In 4 hours 20 minutes we were at Hamilton. It's a nice place..big and clean, I was suprised. Take our Acura and Honda dealer here and put them together... still won't be near Hamilton Honda.

Harvey dealed with the car again.
Timing belt $389
Adjusting valve $290
and just told him to replace the Tensioner no matter what...it's $75

Didn't have any broken links or side mounts. He was going to replace them for free if did.

They said that they don't have loan car left. Called the enterprise and gave us a Chrysler 200. I don't know how people give money to that car...anyways

And yeah they were friggin buys!!! Saw at least like six 04-06 TL too.

We went to Paterson, NJ to eat. There is like a litle Turkish town there. It was 1 hour 15 minutes up North.
Gave the car at 8:50. Came out at 2.

So went back to dealer at 2 and wow!!!! The car pulls!!!! I am still amazed how the engine responses. You could feel the torque I mean you do feel the car pulling wen you pedal down. Got in love again I wasn't expecting this much of change. Just amazed.

Sparkplugs+TB+switches+new custom intake....just wow
I will explain the intake on next post

Did 200 miles 1/2 tank. Full tank went 390 miles. Could've passed 400 but light traffic and some cool cars were nice fun on the road lol

After the TB...
When you keep the TL on 2nd gear and on VTEC...no way Camaro SS 6.2 run away haha

Of couse you need light traffic so you don't shift to 3 haha

I wasn't going to head to Boston directly. I wanted the test the car around the area first.
So drove to the Six Flags...that Safari thing in New Jersey.
It was fun...
As I said..the car felt just perfect.

Later went to Manhatten had some fun and took off to Boston at 12.

I couldn't take the last 170 miles, so tired...gave the car to friend.

Total did 880 miles yesterday. (140 of it with the loan car)

ANDDDD engine is soooo quiet and no vibration anymore. Friend noticed it too.
Valve adjusting...

Thank you sir!!!

Here is my story...

It was more than 80F yesterday and drove howww many miles and still no lag. It works perfect. End is same as just like when the car started (cold engine)

You pobbaly undestrand what I mean by lag. I used to notice it even when I had stock intake since 4-5- years. When he engine bay gets got, car lags...pedal doesn't answer quickly.

With the SRI K&N...had the same feeling and even worse...
Close to the engine and you are waiting air to come through front of battery and pass it from the top of the battery to the air.
That's impossible...even the hood is cloth. That black cover. It slows down the air.

Anyways... only thing I liked on the K&N is the angle of the SRI pipe. It directly goes to the big air pipe that is after resonator.

So I extended the pipe and used AEM filter... Filter is almost touching the body of the car, 2 cm gap maybe... like half inch

Also before going to NJ... I cover the bottom of the intake. I am testing it right now actually if it will work or not. And looks like it did!!!
I'll show it with pictures...

Ok filter sits right in front of the air pipe but I always hated how some air leaves from the bottom of the intake.

So this is what I did...covers the bottom of the intake but only the back left side with an angle (engine side)
Doesn't touch the filter and sends the air right to the intake.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/79836957@N04/7381074932/
I swear end of the 5 hours trip...pedal was same as the first secons. No lag...zero none

Better than stock one much better. And nice power on low rpm...just like what I want.

----

Also this is what I did to the air pipe in front of the battery.
I covered it perfectly so the air only goes in to the custom pipe I placed there..

http://www.flickr.com/photos/79836957@N04/7381077368/

Since that thing I placed under the intake seems working. I will cover it with tape and make is something stronger and then put it back in. Surface of the tape has better friction also...

Don't settle for less when it comes to wheels. If you really want the A-Spec's, get them.

Came back to Boston and saw 3 packages
Pant from Banana Republic and book for steel design class

LED's arrived !!

Here are the picturesss

and tomorrow is my birthday 6/22

Again, left one is from superbrightleds.com... 10 out of 12 bulbs working
Right side is the new ebay one, 12 LEDs
15 for trunk

I didn't want the board to stick out like that (yellow edges)
+ it didn't sit perfectly, board was pushing the cover
So, gave them an angle

I didn't know I had this kind of bulb in the trunk, I was shocked... don't remember
I thought it was like the front ones...just 12 leds facing forward anyways

I took it off but imposible for 15 led board to fit in
What I did... connect the board cable to that thing and threw it inside the gap...and used the side of the black covers to make the led board stay there... perfect

http://www.flickr.com/photos/79836957@N04/7416514646/
What the hell...I could only use 300MB on flicker everymonth
back to photobucket

Side (edge) of that black cover, to hold the board

As other members mentioned, yes they are bright, even on day light, you can't directly look at the bulbs... (without the light cover placed)

I'll see at night..

I'm back...

Thanks Anil and sleeper. Yeah they came out pretty well. Just perfect with 12 LED... I totally recommend it.

Took better pictures tonight.

I was back from Maine on Monday but was busy with midterms...
Here are some pics

Leaving her...

On the way... had fun with this guys for 15 mins...top I saw was 130 but for 15 minutes we were moving between 100 and 125.
He had radar lol
And not too much traffic

I was with my sister and brother and totally full trunk and full tank.
It was still fun... and I am positive TL would give hard time to that M3 if only driver and trunk being empty...

Again this is Maine... Newry
We go there every summer 1 or 2 times... this was the best house we rented so far

Total did 420 miles but TL slept there...used MDX to go around
Half tank did 165 miles...not 200 this time
thanks to M3

AND today...

TL had like gray layer on the body lol
Did detail cleaning today.... exterior, interior, windows, seats, trunk...

This is exactly how the LEDs look like...not like bluish on some pictures

Edit: From Monday to Friday, just replaced one of the coils on roomies bimmer...had a misfire

Good night

about the M3, i dont a TL will be able to take on it from a dig....yes, you can give em a tough time when you are gutted and have close to 280+whp....

Thanks Tyler... I will buy a camera and stop using my cell for pictures at some time
