Whats the difference between plastidipping and spray paint?

looks to me like you spray painted your grille?

Plasti-dip is removable if I remember correctly. I'd like to see it after you're done and have you explain how/what you did. I want to do this! And the fogs....can you come down from NC? lol

Plasti dip is basically spray plastic. If you don't like the way it looks you can peel it off

As much as I love the way the fogs look, I will never do it again. Lol

As far as the grill. I just took the A off and taped everything up. Gonna put 3-4 coats letting it dry about 20 minutes in between

Lookin good, man...
don't like the glare of the fogs? shooting higher than the low beam cut off?
I love mine, but I agree, probably wouldn't do it next time.

His fogs are actually aimed perfect IMO lol

My beam would probably shoot up close to as high as the garage handle =(
(And it's lowest it can be aimed via the adjustment knob).

Ugh I still gotta take pics of my fogs at night while they're on for you lol. That way, you can see the Nokya Yellows and my beam.

Good luck on the plasti-dipping =)

Damn..I like that!! Well done sir. It flows soo much better with the lower black grills now. Any pics up close? How does it look as far as gloss and are imperfections easy to spot? How is it to work with, etc...

Next up...wetsand, polish, seal those headlights!

I'll have some close up shots in about 10 minutes. It's not gloss, basically a matte finish

thanks! i vinyled my whole front grill, but didn't think to vinyl the portion of the grill that is usually 'grey'. it's the area under the middle bar with the "A" logo. i quoted it in the picture.

i vinyled my whole grill with gloss black vinyl and didn't think that portion needed to be vinyled.... well i was wrong. the vinyl is a very dark black color, nearly color matching my nighthawk black pearl TL. the part i left un-vinyled looked very grey compared to the vinyl.

i'm thinking about plastdipping it instead of taking my bumper off to revinyl it... but i don't know if the plastidip will still look grey when contrasted with my NBP car and glossy black vinyl. from what it seems, plastidip adds a 'matte' or 'flat' black finish to it. i'm wondering if that will look good with my vinyl...

I'm usually VERY picky about doing stuff to cars as you may or may not have seen from my replies in other threads, but I will say that looks DAMN nice!!!! Reason being it looks as if it could have come stock like that. As mentioned the openings of the upper grill and lower fog grills looks very uniform now.
Just curious how easy is this stuff to remove? Does it effect the surface at all or once you peel it off is it like it was never there?

Nice job!!!

I think your fog fitment was made better because you don't have the A-Spec lip where you have to trim more lol

I'm too wuss to trim the fogs more to make them sit pointing down lol.

Well my interior trim pieces that run along the side of the radio and center console were beaten up pretty bad

I'll get some after shots once they are both done
Just taped off all the tabs so they go back in ok

I might do this to my wheels if they make it in colors. Previous owner hit every curb in Texas I think. Looks good though! My trim pieces have a few small blemishes also

Did you remove the bumper to do this? If so, why did you put it back on to paint? If not, how did you take it off without removing the bumper? Nice job by the way.

I left the bumper on. I took the front engine cover off then undid the bumper next to the head lights and that allowed me to pull the bumper back enough to get to the screws on the back of the grill
