Wow! It's amazing how close that matches up to the rest of the interior black. Very nice job. I just might have to do this myself.

wow that actually looks very nice. when you inspect it closely, does it look 'uneven' or anything?

can you tell it's been sprayed when you inspect it closely?

i wouldn't plastidip my interior, as i plan to vinyl it. but this is a very easy alternative for others. looks good!

it actually looks like it was made like that. Kind of looks cool because the factory pattern on it is comes thru a small amount and the plasti dip shows the pattern a little. Turned out better than i thought

Wow...those are the interior pieces that I feel look like sht on my car. Was looking into getting a brushed aluminum vinyl but this is a good alternative. I wonder how it'll hold up. I have all these nicks and dents on mine and I can't figure out how i caused that much damage.

Also, you plan on doing all the other silve pieces that wrap onto the door panels?

I actually sat in the car earlier and looked at the silver trim and thought about it. If I can find an easy way to get some of them off I'll probably do it.

I like the contrast of the silver on black, but an easy, $6 fix is always up for consideration!

It's almost like the pattern on the factory piece came thru the plasti dip.

These are the best photos i could get with my iPhone

Simple is better.
I frequent the Off Topic forums these days. Some threads in the 3G section lately...

First you should move your seat all the way back, then use like a butter knife and start at the bottom at the armrest. Then once I got it started I basically used my almighty strength and pulled the trim off releasing clip by clip all the way to the top lol

The trim does get flexed a little but you can bend it back.

Exactly what I did but, I put a dish rag over the butter knife so I didn't scratch anything

how well does plastidip hold up against dirt and stuff? does small debris get stuck in it at all? esp the grill... considering doing this or vinyl on mine

So what your saying is I can paint the center of my wheels and If I dont like it I can simply peel it off and have a perfect paint underneath ???

How do you prepare the surface ? Just clean it and spray on Plastic Dip spray ?
