Shiney. Did you wax it too? Also, with Zaino stuff, is it a pain in the ass to buff it off in the way wax is?

Well! Z2 and Z5 are kind of wax/polish from Zaino. I did the following procedure;

Washed and Clay bared yesterday and slapped on Z2 without ZFX yesterday. Then this morning buffed off Z2 and Z6ed it. Then gave coats of Z5 and Z2 adding ZFX for accelarated drying and glossed with Z6 after every coat.

No with Zaino polish it is very easy and effortless to buff it off. It's not like a wax.

Gah, edited my post as you replied.

Anyway, buffing wax off is a real pain... did it today, couldn't finish the whole car. Is Zaino hard to buff off? Or does it just come right off.

Heh, you edited too. Thanks for the information. Waxing is a real, real pain. My whole body is exhausted. Maybe I'll order some Zaino stuff.

Well! I edited my answer too. Seems you missed it. No it is not at all hard rather very easy to buff off the polish. Takes about 10-15 mins to buff off all the car. Apply - 10-15 mins, wait 30-40 mins, buff 10-15 mins, Z6 spray and buff another 10-15 mins. So one coat can be putwith gloss in about little over an hour with the wait time.

Actually I had my shorts on and washed it in the washer with my Key FOB in it. Read the thread in 3rd gen section.

WOW. It is like an orbits ad. Like I tell everyone I know you just can't beat a clean black car. I have gotten mine to shine but nothing even close to that. Good job.

This car is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It is so shiny. It is like a mirror. A really shiny mirror. Jesus™ loves mirrors too. Accept him, and you too shall shine. Like a mirror.

Yup! I do every plastic and metal piece and painted area except for rubber weather linings around sunroof and roof gutters and around doors.

Damn! That's shine!

I wonder how that process would work on my pearl white 96 3.2TL? Probably not as well, but I might try it some day.

How long does that Zaino shine last before you've got to do the process (or parts of it) again?

Understood that the Zaino buffs off easier than wax but does it leave that same white chalky goop between the panel creases like wax does?

TIA

BJ,

I applied 3 coats of Z2 in early January, 3 weeks after I bought my car. I think it stays good for 4-5 months. Since I've NBP I decided to myself that whenever I'll Zaino, I'll put Z5 (which is a polish for swirl and fine scratches) on it and thought that Z5 in between Z2 will be good. Also to end each coat with spraying Z6 and buffing off helps remove any missed spots of polish.

And No it does not leave any white residue.

WOW!! I think I see my reflection in there. Looks great. Gotta get me some Zaino for my ABP TL. I've been using Mothers Cali Gold for the past few years with good results but that looks amazing.

Darker the color more optical transperancy you get. So I think it will be good on Athracite too since it's not that light in color.

I just bought the Zaino Deluxe kit. Let me tell you guys this stuff is the best out there I have used maguires, mothers, you name it. I have a 2000 f-150 that my brother in law washed I think he used steel wool on it. Well its not that bad but has some swirl marks in it. So I washed it in dawn like they say. Did the clay bar wow does that stuff work. Washed it again with the zaino soap. I applied the Z-5 waited about 45 min to an hour for it to dry its pretty humid here. Buffed off. (It comes off so easy) Waited a couple of hours and did the z-5 again. let it dry then buffed again. The next day I finished up with the Z-2. WOW Does not even describe what I saw. The truck looks better than the day I bought it. the swirl marks just disapear and that last coat of z-2 makes it shine like a mirror. If you have a black car wow it would look good. ZAINO is worth every penny. I actually gave all my other detailing stuff away this is the goods. Cant wait for the new TL to try it on that. Hope this helps.

It's working now. Unfortunately I do not have more pictures after Zainoing. Next time I'll make sure I'll get at least couple of them but it's gonna be another 4-5 months before I do it again.

Also, it will be nice if you can give me some space as you said. Let me know the URL and I'll try to upload.

Are you friggin kidding me??!!! I have never, ever, seen a car with that type of shine. Holy Shiat!! Very nice job, if we could get the rain to stop in the East long enough, maybe we could do the same. Damn, I keep clicking back and looking at it some more...I may even make that my wallpaper on my PC.

How long do the swirl marks stay away for? Some products "cover them up", but then they return in the future. Sorry Meguiars, this Zaino stuff is really making me think it is time to switch...

Like, I said, I have not left that pic yet. Like I am staring at porn over here or somethin!

Because I am a critical person (sounds like we all are) - you took the picture too soon man. Those tires need some serious dressing to complete the job. otherwise
- un-friggin-beliveable!!
