Numairh's DGP 6MT TL

Well, just picked up an '05 6MT from my work! 100k miles, no accidents, and major services already done. Got it for a steal. It is time to get rid of the SSM soon. I am swapping parts over then will list her for sale!

Your other car was an 05 6MT. Why change after all the work you put into it? Just curious.

Miles on my other one are just too high now. Almost 200k. This is half that

I have been a little busy haha. Here is how she sits about 3-4 days later. So far, I swapped the headlights, side markers, coilovers, wheels, and short shifter. I also washed, clayed, and waxed it. Need to do a paint correction soon but she looks pretty good as is.

I've been super busy this week. I wrapped the orange wood trim in black wood grain vinyl, I swapped over my short shifter from the old TL, I put a light tint on my taillights from Laminx, replaced all halogens in the interior, license plate lights, and reverse lights with LEDs from EndlessRPM (SUPER bright), and my friend/lead of CleanCulture Norcal bannered up my new TL with a Henny copper banner.

I'm really digging that wood grain wrap. How much disassembly was required for the center console?

I took it all apart for the short shifter so I just wrapped it while it was off. Not needed to take it off though.

Brooo...
I had that mishimoto shift knob in both my S2000 and TL although eventually I went OEM S2000 titanium one, even though it's pricey!
Loving this car coming together!

Thank you! I actually had an almost brand new oem TL knob that I put on. I like the way it feels the best... I feel like the Mishimoto is too thin for my hands.

I liked it's weight and height but in the end, I loved the OEM feel too.

Plus it’s still “cold” in California, and I don’t want to be shifting with what feels like ice haha

Did a lot since my last update. I sold my Type S lips and bought an OEM Type S rear bumper, base front Aspec, and am picking up Type S side skirts in a couple days. If you can't tell, I am not doing full Aspec on this car. I had it for 3 years and its too played out now. I got my ATLP catback, RV6 Jpipe, K&N cold air intake, Progress RSB on the DGP from my old one as well. Swapped to 08 base tails but might go Type-S. I also went back to amber front LED turn signals and got some 6000K HID bulbs to replace the factory ones. Last, I removed the rear emblems, the mudguards, and I installed a rear diffuser. She will be going into paint this weekend to color match all the new parts!

Looks great man!

The A-Spec kit is nice but I wasn't going to go for it either. Can't wait til it's out of the shop man. With all the parts color matched, I'm sure it'll look great!

Liking the updates! Altho, why go with base a-spec front lip? Why not ‘08 front bumper also, an no lip? To match the updated rear....

in for pics! This color is rare!

Thanks everyone! And I thought about it, it would've been almost the same price to buy an OEM Type S bumper, I just like the base lip!

Moar updates!!

So I sold my wheels on Monday, and ordered a set of ESR SR11 in black chrome which just came in. 18x9.5 +22 but I have to run a 3mm spacer in the front because the barely were touching the brakes :/. Waiting on tires to come in now. Went with 225/35/18 Achilles ATR Sport 2. Also got my Type S side skirts off my friend who just got Aspec. Bumpers, lip and skirts going into get painted this Saturday and hopefully wheels are on next week. I also did a 1 step paint correction because the swirls were really bothering me, and it looks so much better. Ill do a better correction a little bit later but this will do for now.

Got the wheels on! I love the fitment, but the car sits a little lower with the 35 series tire... Need to get used to it. Its rubs all around, so I shaved my rear fenders (scared to roll because I don't know if any repairs with bondo have been done) and it rubs a lot less now, can't even see the marks on the tire either.. 18x9.5 +22 with a 3mm up front to clear the calipers and 225/35 all around.
