Hey aziners finally been able to get some tints in.



26%.
I was orginally gonna get 35% but then a friend who got his TL recently tinted got 26% all around with camel interior which is similar to my tan interior. does this look too darK? and what are the chances of getting hassled by cops driving around would you say? only reason i decided 26% last minute was that my tan interior with the 26% would look similar to that of a black interior with 35%....

and the gf is in the complain mode saying how i shoulda got 35%...

heres another shot. and yes it was dirty and fyi this was taken right after being tinted.

 

Shouldnt get hassled much, but i dont know how strict it is in Quincy, MA. i only get messed with a little but im in new york and i have 20% with black interior so i think you would be fine. And r u sure there 26% cause i never heard of that percentage lol. looks good though

 

haha thanks. yeah the place had 35 26 18 and 5...from now on im just gonna have my roof open when i drive around lol.

looks good mann. that doesn't look too dark, shouldn't get hassled by the cops. mine are 15% got pulled over once and the meter read that it was 12%! gave me a warning.

Agreed. I have 35% and they look just ask dark, if not darker than the tint in these pics.

lol good to here some positivity. yeah as long as i dont do something shady then i should be fine. but in anycase if i do get pull all 4windows will be going down.

 

It all depends on the cops around some areas, I have 20% and have been pulled over many times and not once have they said anything about em

little update and question:

so tonight was the first time driving at night since i got my car tinted but i noticed a reflection of my third brake light on my rear window???

this is when your on the brake.

Tint guy didn't re-apply the 3rd brake cover. Push it into place and it should stop the backlighting.

 

so no wonder i hear rattles from the back now. so all i do is push up on the light? or take it off and put it back on?

 

Looking good man. Tint was the first thing I did to my TL.

i agree you should be fine, and like someone else said....my 35s seem darker than that to me. but it all really depends on x-factors. individual cops etc. local chicago news is running a story tomorrow night about how people keep getting $250 tint tickets for 35% even tho its been legal now for 6 months. im gonna check that out.

 

Wow the drop on the RRP looks good. it is so noticeable when they are next 2 each other. Anyone know the drop on the sports, about an inch i'm guessing?

that def looks like 35%...way too light to be 26% but it looks good

I think your tint looks lighter because the pictures were taken in direct sunlight. If you take pictures later in the day the tint will look more like 26% than 35%.
