I am excited to let you know about our 3rd annual Acura Meet in Kansas City, Sunday, June 6th, 2010 at 12 noon at Jay Wolfe Acura.

THIS IS A NATIONAL ACURA MEET THAT IS SANCTIONED BY ACURAZINE!

Jay Wolfe Acura will be clearing out their entire front lot for us to park our cars for display, they'll be cooking lunch for everyone that attends. Last year, we had burgers, brats, chips and soft drinks. We will be again awarding trophies, plaques and certificate again this year for various car categories. Plus, Jay Wolfe Acura will have discount coupons for all attendees that will be redeemable for parts and/or service as well. This is a free event for all participants.

We are also working on having various vendors exhibiting at the event. Sirius/XM has already committed to exhibit. Jay Wolfe Acura will also have various parts available for sale for your car. We will possibly have AcuraZine stickers to hand out to participating cars.

Our rate for the National Acura event is $59 per night. When making your reservation, tell them you are with AcuraZine and Jay Wolfe Acura, which should get you that rate.

What's going on in KC that weekend?
--If you're coming in early for our Sunday event, There's lots to do!
--Kansas City Royals are playing the Detroit Tigers that Friday and Saturday night (June 4th & 5th) at newly renovated Royals/Kaufman Stadium.
--Kansas City has a brand new restaurant/bar/social gathering area called the Power & Light District. This is in downtown KC, right next to the new Sprint Center. We will probably be organizing a get-together at the P&L District for Saturday night, which will include dinner and partying.
--Country Club Plaza is in central Kansas City. The Plaza is a beautiful outdoor shopping district with an abundance of top flight stores and restaurants. It is THE place to shop and eat!
--Styx, Foreinger and Kansas in concert on Thursday, June 3rd.

ahh steven you are imposing a really hard decision on me, i live only in st louis, but on the 7th monday right after i have a flight to china at like 7 in the morning, really wanna come but id have to drive there on sunday, drive back during the night and almost immediately board a 25 hr voyage

 

Depending on what kind of money iv got saved up im gonna consider it, its a longgggggggggg drive for this guy

 

17 Hour Drive!!!!!!!!!! Hahahah maybe me and my dad will come out there for a mini vacation this summer, id love to make it guys

 

You're gonna be stuck on that 25 hour trip regardless. Might as well give yourself a reason to sleep on the plane.


I'd enjoy nothing more than a 2000 mile round-trip Highway and Byway cruise in the TL-S. But, alas, my wife will not put up with such shennanigans.

I have a hard enough time getting to Cars & Coffee and that's just 30 miles or so.


HEY!! you guys going: you should look for some nexus points to meet up, so you can carvan in.

 

Yeah i would like to roll in with a carvan if some people from Chicago and Milwaukee will go.

It always happens that way. At first we don't have many people sign up and then the meet happens and we have 60 cars show up. Nothing to worry much about. Besides June 6th is a little ways off and may be hard for some people to commit yet.

Oh yeah, as far as sign ups... why don't you have a link set up to make it easier for people to sign up... PLUS it will be great to track the progress of vehicles & owners & locations, that way you could turn around & use the data to make sponsorships easier to come by.

Hey Buda how are you. It is takata 18 from MSP. I heard about this meet from the CHI-TOWN guys, they were here in St Paul For a meet. I would like to go to this meet, I have to see if I can make it.

 

I'm also from the Twin Cities - was gonna talk to some of the guys and see who was down for it. Only issue I'm having is that it's on a Sunday. If it were on a Saturday, work wouldn't be involved.

Got the OK from wife though, just need the OK from boss

 

damn, i'd have to leave like the day after my graduation to get to that, but I'll talk with my mommy. If there are enough MN guys going it should be fine
