Here are the Type 2 switchbacks I ordered; they're already in my headlights but the modding is still being worked on, as the 1157 prongs need to be connected to wires (soldered) to my 7443 backing (since i have an 05 TL).

They are white when parking lights are on, but once the turn signal is engaged, the white completely shuts off and it only blinks amber. After the turn signal is disengaged, it turns back to white after around 1 second.

Thanks to Raj (elegant type s) for the find.

Haha.. yeah your welcome.. I've seen these in person and they look sick as fk! Definitely more street legal.

brian,

I saw you mentioned you were going to solder your bulb backings so I figured I'd offer these to you. 1157 acura sockets as found on the 07/08 type-s which I soldered leads to then later sealed with epoxy. Here a pic showing one of them soldered, but not yet epoxied. I have since then completed them. They are ready to tap directly into your stock harness

PM me if ur interested. I dont need em for my project anymore so theyll be at cost.

It's cool.. my guy is already working on doing that.. I really appreciate the offer though; seems like that's the only method of retro'ing 07-08 1157 sockets onto 7443 connectors.

Wow... how did I miss this thread. Looking good.

I contemplated oznium rings when I did my angel eyes but was told they are too big. Nice to see you got them to fit. So what is the status of the LED strip and the dual projectors?

Brian man... don't know what to say!

This is my first time seeing this thread and I think I read every single word on all 10 pages (while holding back the intense jealously I have towards your TL)!

You make me feel like my TL is waaay too stock.

Puttin' the rest of us to shame... keep it up!

yeah scrapped it, it obviously can be done, all you need is a projector, HID bulb, and ballast. lighting and electricity, is lighting and electricity. But seeing as to how im always up at school, it would take way too much time and too much custom fabbing, it might be hard to sell the headlights if they're hacked up near the DRL, feel me? But the rest are in: led strip, oznium halos (soldering required), ZKW lens, 6500K kaixen, v-leds V2 switchbacks, cleared out with diffuser.

Thanks! It's on "The US Healthcare System," and I actually have to study because I realized how much I don't know about managed care, lol.

Haha, soldering was required to make wiring on the top of the CCFL to fit. But I grew the balls to bake my brand new set of type s headlights FOR THE FIRST TIME in the oven and they turned out great. Be brave!

As for the rest of you i'll try to take some QUICK pics today, it's really overcast and looks like it's gonna rain again though.

Ha I don't have any issues with soldering... its just that baking! Plus I'd need a set of clear diffusors before starting anything!

Oh i see, too bad my old type s headlights are already spoken for

The baking is really not that bad. 220 deg F 20 min no pre-heat, flat head screw driver to get you started on prying housing and lens open, then use your hands, then done.

Okay guys here are the pics.
My friend with the Jetta (bagged) was nice enough again to snap shots of our cars. (Same photographer for the meister S1 shoot)

The leds are a bit hard to see since it was still bright out.
Halos are really clean, and V2 switchbacks work like a beauty.
The ZKWs really do give a crisp clean cut off.

ANyway, enjoy~

All lighting on:

As you can see, his car is bagged so don't make fun of my ride height
