My TL gets around the East Coast...200,000 miles and climbing fast. Lots of Pics!!!

Sup fellas? Some of you guys know me on here and some don't. I bought my 2005 6 speed TL used three years ago (July 2007) with 30k on the clock. I bought it for a lot of reasons but the main one was reliability.... As soon as I got the car, the modding bug bit me hard and I have been modding ever since..

This thread is just some pictures of my TL in various states and when I had time to take some pics, I did....She gets around and has been as far north as NY, as far south as FL, and as far west as Little Rock, AR. Enjoy the pics guys. Oh yeah, original everything....engine, transmission and clutch. She's a keeper.

Started with the rims and cleared lights...This was about 35k miles....

Then I met this guy and the modding bug really bit me hard....Erics two wdp being transformed....

Some states I was able to take pics of the signs and others I just never bothered.

LI NY Captree Bridge...Babylon, NY (where I grew up)

OK, the other nice thing is this car can get some pretty sweet numbers on the mpgs...This is in a days worth of work.

This was soo 100k ago....

OK guys.....I am on the road at least 1200 miles every five working days so with that said, I have had my share of tickets....Even in the wifes car....

I don't mind seeing Eric in my mirror coming up fast. We ran into each other many miles away from home.

Some of the TL's that were parked near me and I never realize how much my car is modded till a stock one is sitting next to mine...

Not sure what is going on with this TL but those rims have got to go...

OK so driving all over the east coast, you get to see many things...Accidents are a daily thing and thank god, none have involved me...

I don't see this Honda truck that often...

Night driving is sweet with the HIDS.. BTW, the hids are still original as are all the other lights I haven't replaced with leds...

Can't do all this driving with a little maintence....

On with some land marks and just some good old fun pics of where I stopped to snap a few pics....

Covington, VA

Wagner, SC at a customers horse farm...

Wrightsville Beach, NC

My car even made it on TV....

West Virginia-

On the state line off of 85 in SC...Old Video Game places that were shut down...

Gaffney, SC-

State Line Fireworks before GA-

South Of The Border-

Old 50's gas station off of 31 on the way to Mytrle Beach, SC

A little beach just north of Virginia Beach, VA-

Downtown Atlanta-

Little town, NC

Durham, NC-

Don't remember the town but one of the many GM dealerships that went out of business-

Kings Dominion, VA-

See plenty of corn fields for miles...This one is on 17 before the VA border in NC..

Concord, NC Z-Max strip

Exit 153 off of 95 you will find Honda Way-

Timmonsville, SC The Honda plant-

Sometimes I take my traveling companion along for some trips...Alex loving the DVD player and headrest monitors on one of the many long trips to work. I can't for when he can drive and I can watch some tube.

I never leave home without the case that pays for the toys...

The trunk fit with a system and a mean set of tools.

Today she hit another major mark in the odometer....

So know that the car is stil going strong, I can't see why I wouldn't be able to get another 100k out of the car. I should hit that mark in about 18-20 months.

I hope you enjoyed the thread and I will say, I have enjoyed every mile behind the wheel of the best car Acura has ever made.....She's a keeper!!!!!

You must go through tires like nobody's business dude...wow. That is a lot of miles. Glad to hear that it's still trucking along though, gives the rest of us hope for the future of our TL's. Have always liked your ride...especially with the gunmetal a-specs. Nice!

Amazing thread. Well worth the 20 minutes reading through and looking at the pictures. More updates! How about some close up pics of wear and tear on the car after 200K miles? IE front bumper, engine bay, leather, interior plastics, etc. I'm weird about keeping that kind of stuff mint.

GREAT post. How many times have you replaced the Timing Belt?
and have you taken it to the Dealer or a private garage.

Yea your paint looks great in the front bumper....no chips ...or markings....
have you painted it previously...or is it stock...

Wow man! Quite a milestone. You have treated the car well and made her a beauty. And she has paid you in return with many many miles of good service. Love all the pics and all the excellent DIY's you have done. You are an inspiration to many and a great contributor to this site. Thumbs ups dude!

nice pictures- I also tried taking pictures of my 06 tsx by each of the welcome to the states signs I drove in. It has been in 45 states. It only has 107,000 miles so it has awhile to get to 200,000. It has 138 miles when I first drove it off the dealer lot- love it.

Im sure the fact that its 6spd really helped. I would be amazed to see a 5sp auto do 200k.

What do you do for a living that requires you to drive 1200 miles a week? (if you dont mind me asking)

You should drive around blasting "I Get Around" by the Beach Boys all day

Or make a slideshow with all your pics with that as the background music. That would be a DVD worth keeping for memorabilia
