Thanks! I use to go through tires every 30k miles with the General UHP Exclaims and then a friend of mine said to try the Nitto NT555s and I am still driving on them...They have 63k on them now and still have a little more to go. Amazing!!! My friend saved me a tone of money....Instead of changing the tires twice a year, I am only doing it once a year!

Ask and you shall receive...OK, I am as about anal as they come. With that said, the car is cleaned about once a week and it is garaged kept. If you looked at my car in person, you wouldn't ever tell she is a high milage car. Most people fall over when I tell them the milage.

The front was painted by the dealer right before I bought it because of highway miles. So, all the chips you see are 170k later. They are all over the front but its the one thing I have no control over. Trucks are everywhere and most roads are two lanes so I am stuck with rocks flying.

The front.....

I just detailed the car today being that it hit the 200 mark. Wash/wax/interior cleaning.

Here she is as of today!!!

I am anal so I clean and wax the door jams and all the exterior trim....

The interior is just as clean...Again, you would never know she has this milage.

Ass print seats....

This seat never gets used as you can see...It's a good paperwork holder..

The six speed spends most days in the tall gear!!

Of course the heart of the TL, the engine bay...Again, this car has 200k on it??

The reason the car is also very clean....She sits in a garage when not used.

This picture was taken today!

I'm on my second timing belt...Gonna have the third one put in at 220k (about four months) I had the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, etc replaced from a friend who is a certified Honda tech who works at a local Honda dealer. He is able to work on the car on weekends at the dealer.

Here is my 110k and beyond thread....

That is a good question....

I am one of seven techs in the USA that are certified on Tajima computerized embroidery machines.....Embroidery machines? What the hell is that? Better left to show you then explain...

I started with the company 14 years ago and bought my first new Honda back in 1999....We traveled all over the North East Civic SI FTW!!!

OK, so here are the machines. I use to cover 2-3 states...they let everyone go and I picked up almost the entire South East....These machines are a little big to bring to me so I gotta go to them.....

One of three brand new 18 head machines I was installing in AR.....

Here is an older 15 head machine I was rebuilding.....

The fun of ripping into a 110,000 dollar machine....All in a days work.

Now I was just trained on Seit Laser machines that I install on our smaller single heads....These things are amazing! They shoot a laser onto the shirt and cut an image out on top of the shirt.....

48 cents per mile for work and all the miles on this car are work miles...You do the math, the car makes me money.

Thanks Jamie! That means a lot coming from you! The TL and I have an agreement.....She gets me around safely and I make sure she is taken care of day after day. Its a great agreement that has worked well.

One reason I wanted a 6 speed is because I knew it would hold up better than the auto and man the car is soo much better with the 6 speed.

Got to ask....with all the driving that you do hows the driving with the H&Rs / Konis??
The suspension setup works great on the highway...Around town, I can get beat up a little but it really is smooth on these roads down here. The H&R and Konis have 130k on them and are still going strong!

Factory Clutch is still in the car and I fell no slipping at all. If I get 300k on the same clutch, I'm going to donate the car to Acura! The cop picks are funny but they weren't too funny back then.

Great pic update! Looks like the TL has held up pretty well for you. The condition of the driver's seat really tells the story of a car, IMO. Shows how well the car was maintained, how much it was driven, etc. That interior looks awesome for 200K.

Edit: And if I read correctly and did my math right, this car has made you close to $80K+ ish? Awesome.

$96,000 to be exact (too 200,000 miles).

Nonetheless, great job man. Love the car and how clean it is. I've had my car 45k miles and it has rock chips and other cosmetic messes on it.

No cause he bought the car with 30k miles so you would do 170k X .48 = $81,600 to be exact

Jon, awesome thread my friend! Everytime I come over and see the car I still have a hard time with the fact that there is 200K on it. I can personally say that this car is strong as an ox and the interior looks better then my 07 with 31K on the odo. Jon take amazing care of his TL and does 98% of all the work himself and it shows! You would never know it, but that TL has been taken apart and in pieces then put back together more times than I have changed the oil in my car. Clean oem mods, perfection when it comes to anything and everything about this whip and most of all an awesome guy who is willing to help a friend out even after he just go home from a "routine" 400 mile work day, that pretty much sums Jon up. Oh yeah one of the sickest garages you will ever see and a very gracious loser at darts

I figured you must be a field engineer. I used my TL for service work with my previous job. Then I got a new job that gave me a crappy company van....man do I miss driving the TL every day.

Awesome car with tasteful mods and one of the best threads I have read. Congratulations and best of luck with the next 200.

Thats some ridiculous milage man. Back in the 80's, my dad use to commute on a daily Mon-Fri basis from New Britain, CT to near Trenton. 3 hour drive each way every day, no idea how the hell he did that lol.

Jon your TL looks even better in person. Looking at it you would never believe it's been all over the place like it has. She is definitely a highway whore haha.

I was just thinking that both you and I have a lot of experience behind the wheel of a TL. I've clocked in at 154,000 cumulative miles between my two TLs, and it looks like you've done around 170,000. Even with a boosted motor these cars are still tanks. They just keep rolling and rolling man.

Nothing wrong with beeing a Newbee as I was in your shoes three years back. Search my name if you want to see some of the DIYS I did on here. It is a custom grill I did...Here is the DIY on that-

Thats crazy money if you look at it like that. You gotta factor in the gas, tires, brakes, etc and the man hours I put in everyday behind the wheel and the fact that not too many people would buy this car as it sits. I still am making money with it, just not as much as most would think. That is some crazy money though

Morrissey25- You are welcome Sir! I love this thread and its great that I am able to put my part in to make it a little easier for people like you who enjoy them. I am all out of DIYS......Maybe I should put up a DIY on the three decks and the outdoor bar I built in my back yard? Maybe on another site.

I was just thinking that both you and I have a lot of experience behind the wheel of a TL. I've clocked in at 154,000 cumulative miles between my two TLs, and it looks like you've done around 170,000. Even with a boosted motor these cars are still tanks. They just keep rolling and rolling man.
Thanks Eric! You Da Man son! We all know your car is fast, it looks fast, feels fast, but you are a friggin grandma driver...hence why your boosted TL is still killing it mile after mile.

I just updated my 110,000 mile cost thread on page three with all that was done to the TL up until today. Here it is if anyone wants to read that.

Amazing, Jon. I seem to be on your track since I drive as much as you do. Hope to get to the 200K milestone one day.

Quick Reply: My TL gets around the East Coast...200,000 miles and climbing fast. Lots of Pics!!!
