NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I'm assuming it's paid for, along with the mods, correct? If so, ride it until it dies. It might sound like a good short term decision, but long term it's not the wisest.

^^ Yupper, no car or mod payments. Thats whats got me thinking of keeping it. If it were still paying then it would probably already be on the market.

1000 posts

Keep it. That way you know you have a reliable car and it's the last thing you need to worry about.

Wow, hadn't noticed...thanks for pointing that out at just the right time. I've had this great car and been part of this great website for 7 yrs now. Been a great time and i have learned alot. Hopefully i decide to keep it until it falls apart and continue enjoying AZ for many years to come. I know 1,000 posts in seven years isnt a record breaking pace but i do check in almost every day even if i dont comment so it is a significant part of my life for a while.

Yeah, especially with all the blood sweat and tears you've put into this car. You'll regret that decision. Get rid of the Ridgline, if you get to the point where you HAVE to...that would be much easier to replace.

^^I wouldnt do that. The Ridgeline would actually help me make money because i would be out and about all day meeting with customers and visiting projects. Gonna be tough to do that in a lowered, 6MT, aftermarket supercharged car.

Actually referring to the blood, sweat & tears put into it......i had never done that before with any other car......its got to be tough as shit to get rid of a car that you've put so much work into...unless of course its falling apart which is not the case. GOnna be just as tough the day i move out of my current house...i've put a ton of time into it as well. All this talk is getting me a bit emotional. What is this salty discharge coming out of my eyes. LOL

MAS the issue with our cars is, if you go to sell it, you wont get anything for it...

@145K in a 10yr old car, you will barely be able to get under 10K for it with the mods you have....I was thinking of selling my car as well and with 180K on the odo, 7-7.5K is what I was guessing, if I put the interior back in LOL...and then another 2-3K for the mods....

Since you have a SC and everything on it, I would definitely do what Tyler mentioned, keep it till the wheels drop off...

That's my same dilemma, even if I do get tempted with a shiny new object (obviously, you have a more noble cause for selling) I won't get what I think the car is worth.

In the end...I'm 35 years old. Next step for me is marriage and kids...having a paid off sedan that looks cool is a huge bonus and allows me to always manage having that fun side car and possible future car payment...or not since I don't have a car payment on either car.

Loved Seinfeld; greatest tv show to ever hit the air.

Don't sell dude; you put in entirely too much work to toss it.

There's only hand full of UAs I admire; yours is one of them

I hope he doesn't sell either...
I vaguely remember saying somewhere that after adding a supercharger everyone sells their cars within 6 months. And I'd hate to be right!

Thx gents.....the talk on here has me leaning to keeping...now just need another good meet to help close the deal. Haha.

Rockstar....i'm a bit over a year now so i guess i'm above average (haha). I have noticed that too though and if i try to guess why i would say because most people wait to be out of warranty and paid off before doing the supercharger so youre already several years into the car...chances of bailing on it are increasing exponentially every year at that point.

Yep...although my original thought was that once you cross over to making power, you really have a hard time being satiated...high boost, then meth, then biggest intercooler then a lot of people say eff it I need more displacement and RWD and then go FI on that. LOL...

Fun to drive, looks great, and your best mod is that it's paid off. I say see how your finances and work go and make the call to sell it if you HAVE to. You'll miss that baby.

Max boost, meth, & an intercooler will produce plenty of power for our cars. There comes a point where it's just pointless to have too much power to the front wheels. Shit starts breaking and the phase "daily" goes out the window... You're then well acquainted with the phrase "money pit" because that warranty is non-existent I say the happy place is just below 400; 370 to 385 to be exact... If an owner isn't satisfied with that, then they should opt for another car with a proper drivetrain.

I'm hoping there's a meet soon *cough* J & Austin *cough* so that we can sway your decision

Well, worst case, you can always beg your wife to borrow her car (that's nicer than all the other cars at the meet btw) again.

Oh sh*t...I made another wife joke! inb4 dems fightin words!

Seriously though, look forward to seeing your car, man.

I think it all comes down to enjoying the car for what it is....

if you want to build a TL which will run 10's in a quarter to go up again the CTSV, then you will never ever be happy and will eventually end up selling it...

but if you just want the TL to be faster than what it is in stock form and run most cars around the 50K price range, I think you will be very very happy with it....since it looks amazingly well, is very very reliable...run a turbo, keep it around 350-370 whp, call it a day !!!

I agree, and that is part of the reason why I still have two tl's. It wasn't worth getting rid of it for what it was worth especially with the money I put into it. If you won't part out the car you won't really get much more for it. I would keep it till you have to get rid of it
