looked like a random base 07 TL parked behind you...couldn't tell they were wheels.
That would also explain the reaction you had when I said that it couldn't be wheels since you are very PRO OEM look.

Nice. Look forward to seeing some real shots of them.

Fuk yeah dude, new shoes are

I'm certain it looks even better in person as it is difficult to capture the concavity of the wheels on a cell phone cam

Looking forward to seeing it in person soon

Ohhhh...fantastic choice! I love them. Did you see ebelp's? One of my favorite wheels.

Any plans to go lower to set them off?

So here what is left to do:

1) decide on center caps (Acura centercaps vs Avant Garde centercaps)
2) adjust coilovers for perfect height.

As Rockstar previously mentioned i LOVE the OEM sport look. So i am already inclined to use the Acura centercaps...besides the black AG caps i think make the wheel look smaller BUT every now and then i look at the car and really like the AG caps....kinda give it a BMW M look. Also on the ride height i will not slam it. Its got a supercharger...why would i want to always drive slow to avoid rubbing. The car is now so fun for spirited driving i wont give that away for slammed look. I think i'm going to tinker with it to get it as low as possible without rubbing during my daily commute.

Anyways here are some pics and give me your advice on these two items above. Thx

I like the contrast of the black centers, it gives you a contrasting focal point and makes the wheels design more defined. I'd only do Acura center if you're either missing caps, are embarrassed by brand, or have hideous ones.

About the height, are your fenders rolled already? What kinda clearance do you have? I'd start with that...once you go aftermarket wheels, the perfect stance is even more important, in my opinion.

You're a far cry from being undriveable, don't worry. Huge gray area to play with here.

This is why I'm delaying lowing my car. It's meant to be driven fast and hard. I don't want any reason to have to slow down over bumps... I like the Acura center caps better.

Ummm...you should be going slowly over speed bumps regardless...you just don't have to go over them diagonally if you're not slammed.

+1 on the Acura caps; looks like stock RS4 wheels, but for Acura.

I do like the contrast as well and i do agree it makes it look more refined...just not crazy about how it makes it look smaller (more obvious in person).

Regarding the height...using the old school finger method i believe i've got about 1 finger gap in the front and 2 in the back. I always prefer a bit of rake so i'll keep the difference but will experiment a bit lower. For me when i say i still want to be able to have "spirited driving" i dont just mean straight line acceleration. If it were just straight line acceleration i could go lower but there are a couple nice curves on my drive home and rubbing becomes more of an issue there where it wouldnt just flooring it straight line.

Thx man.....A-Specs have a permanent home with me. Love those things. Didnt realize until last night when i looked thru my thread that i've had them now for 4 years. Love those things. I plan on keeping them because in 30 yrs when i finally sell my TL, the buyer will be one lucky cat because i will most likely sell it with everything on it (S/C, suspension, Aspecs, exhaust...everything). That's why i'm destined to never sell it because no one will ever give me enough for it and i dont think i'll go thru the hassle of taking everything off. TL-4-Life!

You don't need to slam, I think if you lower the rear 1 finger gap, you'd be golden. The TL already has an ass in the air appearance, so you won't lose the rake.

Wow, a couple votes for Acura center caps.....didnt expect it.

I think the suggestion for chrome emblem & non-lack lugs is interesting too. I hadnt thought about it till now but one of the things i liked most about the Aspecs was exactly that. Gonna try it and see.

Here's my current avatar pic (closer look at rear wheel). These are my first staggered set of wheels ever. I'm not crazy about the whole no full rotation but i guess i'll get used to. I guess directional tread tires are out of the question too (although as i write this i believe these are directional...ugh). BUt for thin wall 19's these tires arent as noisy as when i previously had 19s. More pics coming soon after a real good clean and some height adjustments.

Nice wheel choice. I was STRONGLY considering Avant Garde before on decided to restore some older wheels.

You know, for the center caps, AG can make custom caps in any color you want. Might be neat to get a couple different sets with matching lugs. Maybe a teal setup, a red setup, ooh...goldish/copper would looks great on the black. Just throwing it out there.

BTW, their options on finishes is AMAZING! Still seriously considering going with their AGForm/AGFunction line for my next set of wheels.

Usually I prefer the slammed look but he's got a bunch of horsepower goodies. Sort of pointless to tuck tire with all of the money and time invested in the engine. Function > form with this car.

Meh. Unless he's tracking the car or street racing on the weekends, it's essentially all form > function. I'd give a slammed AND supercharged TL a huge

I'm sure I can speak for MAS by saying function over form anyday... Too many hwy ramps, tunnels (soon), & causeways down here to be enjoying with a pull here and there versus having to brake for every imperfection on the road lol. I don't know how some of you guys do it!?

Well, testiculos. Which I'm sure we all have AND, it's really not that bad, man. If I was scraping all over the place and fucking up my fenders I would have been raised up long ago, my friend.

Reality is if you like to take some high speed curves the gap is necessary unless youre a bit sunken in to help clear it but who wants that. Ill keep you all posted. Also feels cool to be this flush without spacers.

Damn I am in love with this thing all over again. The way I see it these wheels will pay for themselves by me using the car more often over the truck.
