Guys I appreciate you all. I know you have my best interest at heart. I know you're on my side. Rhonda is just not a car person. I acknowledge that she has a right to her opinion. Our opinions just differ.

We'll see how this goes. We broke the ice and are talking again. We've kissed and made up and opened a dialogue about this entire thing.

I'm glad to tell you that my wife and I have discussed the details of the Premier Edition. I understand where she is coming from and she understands what I was trying to accomplish.


So all is well at home and we are back to normal now. She still wants to see me get a Corvette! I called the original dealership that I had my deposit with. Even though I told them to cancel my order, they had not processed my refund yet. I told them to hang on to the deposit-I still wanted to still order my car.

My sales guy said that they had a red C7 Z51 3LT with everything on that I wanted except for the 2 toned interior, carbon fiber dash and carbon fiber roof.

I took my wife, Rhonda over to see it last night. She loved it. Plus, they had a white and a black Corvette with the red leather seats. She didn't like the color of the interior (the red seats and dash). Plus, she pointed out that a red C7 with so much red interior is a little overkill. To be honest, I see her point-she's a very intelligent woman.

My sales guy said they can order me the Carbon Fiber dash and roof, if I want it. I'm going to the dealership after I get off the radio today to pay them for the car. We take delivery on Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm getting the car tinted 20% and having a 1/4 clear bra put on the front of the Corvette.

I'm actually glad about the roof because I wanted the color keyed roof AND the Carbon Fiber roof. You cannot order it that way from GM!

In retrospect, my wife and 2 other friends pointed out something about the Premier Edition...the suede dash will possibly fade in the sunlight. Plus, one person said it sounds like that Premier Edition is one that you garage and only take to special events. I see their points.....

Plus, blue would not have been one of my top 3 pics for color anyway. I simply jumped on that one because it was #66 of 500.

So, happy wife, happy life and I still get the sports car!

Thanks Ross-yes, I'll be getting CF add-ons. They already make the vents in Carbon Fiber. Plus, the engine cover piece too!

fiance ended when i got a new mustang 5.0. I guess it wasn't meant to be.
