I didn't even know that car was out yet
Saw the new Camaro maybe just once or so
How was the 7 spd? Should be an amazing feeling behind that 6.2
I guess you bought the top model right? 3LT and that 51 Pckg..
Red interior looks great too.
Well done Steven, I am still shocked
Last time we were talking about it was waaay long ago, and all of a sudden this thread.........
I did saw your post in Kurt's thread but then I was like, I didn't receive any e-mail from Steven's thread about TL hahaha
Now got it..
When will you get the car? Well done, what can I say, even a manual tranny
Don't even make Anil get in the car.
Make him wax the car first, may be 2-3 times...then he could get the shotgun

MEKO, Kansas City got their first one on Thursday of last week. My wife and I went to see it that morning and I put a deposit on one the next day.
I've completely loaded up this Stingray. As a matter of fact, this car is just like the Corvette Premier Edition. The only difference is that mine is red, the Premier is blue. The Premier comes with luggage. I didn't get the luggage-it was a $1,000 option.
What I did get was the Z51 Package with the 3LT Package. I also ordered the Carbon Fiber interior with the regular seats and red/black interior. Extras I ordered were the special door sills (that say Stingray instead of the standard Corvette), trunk tray and the Magnetic Ride Suspension. I also ordered the dual mode exhaust and the silver wheels (not the chrome wheels).
I found out tonight that my car will most likely be ordered on January 1st, 2014. I told them that I don't want the car until April, so I get past Winter. Yea, I'd REALLY like to have it now. But this will allow me to stash away more money and have it ready for Springtime. It should be here in plenty of time for the National AcuraZine Meet in Kansas City in June 2014.
My wife wants to do the Bowling Green, Kentucky delivery. That's where you go to the factory and pick up the car. You get a tour of the factory and the museum and drive your car home. It's an extra $1,000, so I'm not sure if I want to do that. But now, I've got time to think more about it.

$1,000 for a luggage seems kind of high but the rest sounds like perfect.
It's like a car to keep till the end. You can't say no to a Carbon Fiber interior, I know that!!
What's dual mode exhaust?
True, better to past the winter.
Steven you are not getting a used Aston or Maserati. If I was getting a car like that, would think it's once in a life time and go with that Bowling Green delivery.
It's C7, just came out, best full model, pre ordered... of course get the car from factory...
I won't say the same thing about a European car in Europe, may be I am used to it and American is kind of different love to me but, European cars change a lot and loose it's value.
This C7 makes you feel like Stingray is back again and again

The dual mode exhaust is the growl !!!! It sounds fantastic.
Here is the video-click on the picture to see it:
Driving it is amazing. The low end torque is eye-opening. And I would put the exhaust note, the interior and the power of this car against any Italian exotic on the market.
The only drawback to getting the factory delivery is some of the things I've ordered (door sills, etc....) cannot be done there. They must be installed at the dealership.
Once we get closer, I'll see what we can do about all this.

Waiting until April 2014 to pick it up, WOW your one patient dude. But you mid-
west guys can get some crazy winters. But a car like that I guess it's worth
waiting for. It will be just in time for corvette summer.

^^^ LeMix, you da' Man!
Let's just say that I'll take that under consideration........
Would I love to have this car today? Sure, but remember, the Type S stays. So we won't get any 2 car pics until Springtime.

swoosh, you're confusing me with McCollins.
I know guys, waiting sucks--I could get it in early 2014, but it would have to sit in the garage anyway-it's supposed to be a long, cold Winter.
And, since I just ordered it on Friday, there is not much I can do but wait......

Shot some quick pics of Fast Fridays. It's the closest thing to Cars & Coffee that we have. This is held at KC Trends.
Here is the first yellow Stingray I've seen-it really looks great in yellow too.
Here is the C7 Corvette Premier Edition. There are only 500 of these cars-all in blue. Notice the special wheels only available for the Premier's. This guy ordered his a long time ago and just picked it up tonight. His first destination was Fast Fridays.
I found this in the garage at KC Trends.....

Steven, will you let us manipulate you into slightly modifying the Vette?!?!
I'm not a fan of chrome wheels. So a set of nice, lightweight wheels, and some coilovers to give it just the right stance will REALLY take you out of this world on plight to drive around a domestic super car. I promise you, we won't lead you astray.

Steven, thats AMAZING!
btw; If the trip to pick up the car is $1000 more, it might be worth it, Dealerships usually charge you for delivering the car to your local dealer anyway (usually called a destination fee or something). IIRC my buddy paid 600$ when he bought his accord new in 2002.
If you can look into getting around the destination fee by picking it up in bowling green, the $1k difference might be less significant. They may have quoted you a price with the destination fee included. IF you were picking it up in Bowling green, i assume they would have to take out the destination fee and add the $1k pickup fee. They may have mistakenly just added the $1k if that makes sense. It might be something worth looking into.
I can't imagine how you could possibly wait that long. I'm way too impatient!!!

Way to blow his surprise!
I hope you 2 are going to at least break out the DSLR's to do it some justice.
Forgot about the magnetic.
Out curiosity, would springs interfere? Or if you have magnetic control, you're no longer allowed to adjust height?

Jeremy, I didnt blow any surprises....I bet you will be plenty surprised when he tells you WHAT car he drove home
Not sure on the magnetic ride....but I am sure some vendors on the Corvette forums will come out with something....I am sure we could do springs but I havent looked at those suspension so not sure
Yes, I asked him to bring it over so we can just wash her down and apply some sealant and wax on the car and take her out for some pix.....even though the dealer "detailed" it LOL
I asked him to post a particular pic last night but I guess he got toooo occupied with the 4 exhaust tips....
