just added my Valentine V1 w/ tint

Just cleaned my car so i thought i might post some pictures up

Heres a picture of my concealed device for my newly installed hardwired Valentine V1

I put this here because when looking outside the car, there tint outside wont allow people to see my V1, therefore people wont steal it my car has 20% tint all round so even looking from the sides is very hard to see

Currently What i did with this car is:

hardwired Valentine V1
20% tint all around
installed V12 alpine amp
Installed 2 12" rockfosgate subs
viper alarm system with autostart

What i will be adding withint 6months:

New 19" tires/rims
a-spec body kit

Thank you for looking

Its a Radar Dectector that tells you what direction the signal is coming from.

Does anyone know if the LED in the Valentine 1 can be replaced with a blue LED and still function as normal? Anybody willing to take a look at theirs? I am going to order one next week and I want to know. I wish it came optional like the BEL.

Well on the V1 site, it says that having tint does reduce your radar power, but from the fron view i believe its at 100% because no tint in the front window, and as for every where else, i honestly have not noticed as reduction in strenght. Valentine is a great tool, and i love it!

I have 5% tint on my rear window and still receive signals from the rear. So I am not sure how much it is reduced but it still works enough for me.

Again, I'm with you on that one. I always thought of changing the reds to blue. It can be easily done by replacing the red LEDs and remving the red diffusors but the problem is with the red arrows. That's red plastic. You'd have to replace it with blue or clear semi-opaque plastic.

BTW I would ALWAYS recommend hiding your V1 even if you think nobody can see it. Thieves look specifially for these things and it's worth smashing your window to them for one.
