Installed LED DRLs (Comparison Photos)

Figure Id add a little contribution to the forum since Im new. I installed the LED DRLs today and wow what a difference.

These are the ones I ordered. VERY easy installation and no DRL warning on the dash!

I'd sure hope so since TLs have bi-xenons (low beam and high beam from same projector)

Do you have the URL of where you bought those LEDS from

Also are they easy to install any harnesses required?

I think not.

Looks like the same type of kit they're using for the 4G as well: https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-2009-2014-123/working-high-low-drl-smd-bulbs-no-error-signs-ijdmtoy-com-798091/

Wow sweet that looks awesome.

Just wondering though does anyone know if this kit just uses load equalizers to fool the system into thinking the standard bulbs are still there? I guess it's ok but I just always heard of those things getting very hot which in turn gets rid of any benefit of using a lower consumption LED bulb.

James

I think the "benefit" most people are going for is a bright white color instead of a piss yellow color.

I don't think it has much to do with power consumption, bulb life, visibility, etc.

Looks 10x better. Does the kit include everything for the install because it's almost $30 cheaper then the vleds.

i'm very new to the Acurazine community and the Acura brand and still trying to learn all the language here my question is where do you order bulbs (5000K) or how do you determine the type bulb you need i would very much like a headlight upgrade because from what i hear the stock headlights are good but not as good as an upgraded version can someone please direct me in the right direction thanks in advance

You can get the same 68 SMD LED bulbs 9006 for about $14 on Ebay and the quality/light is the SAME.

Maybe its just me, but I like the piss yellow drls. I actually want to get a deeper yellow for mine. Creates a nice contrast with the low beams. jDm yo.

Thanks guys, Im really pleased with the way they came out.

Yeah for sure I didnt care about bulbs burning hotter or anything like that. My main concern was getting rid of the ugly look of halogens. I wasted $40 awhile back on a pair of Sylvania Ultras thinking they would burn more white...i tried to return them haha (Btw, the "before" photo is of the Sylvanias)

Honestly, its hard to say which one is actually brighter. Obviously in comparison through the product descriptions, the V-led kit burns 1,000 kelvin hotter which I can guarantee you youd have to put two cars next to each other to even notice such a miniscule difference.

Congrats on the deal with the LED bulbs you got on ebay but im guessing your DRL light is still on. Personally, I cant stand having any warning lights show up on my dash.

Those would look nice paired with some 6k switchbacks. However, I still prefer the looks of no DRL's. I pulled my DRL fuse and have never looked back.

^^^ Same here. I have the same LED bulbs as well, but they dont match my 6k HID fogs. So pulled the fuse and did the DIY Independent fog light mod (Thanks to Donnie)...never looked back.

But the bulbs are great though. It is night and day difference compared to stocks. Just wish it matched..

Are you using the LED bulbs that came with the kit, or did you get them off ebay or another site? I was thinking about harness and getting the bulbs from ebay.
