Updated pic for you:

This photo was taken with a DSLR in "proper" lighting as opposed to my iPhone photo before to which your comment was referring to. Just showing the 04-06 people what it looks like to have LED DRL lights in the stock housing.

do you still think it's cheap / out of place?

JLC's DRL Kit installed

successfully installed the kit from JLC after some help from Jack at JLC (posted a youtube video to help me out) and from member KB1Spec. the thumbnail below shows the stock vs JLC's 68 SMD LED module. the color looks great and the LEDs are bright but not too bright. i'll take some more pics in the daylight soon if anybody is interested

it's easy to post pictures

1. go to imageshack.us
2. click the 'browse' button. go to your picture folder. you can select either just 1 single picture, or up to multiple pictures at the same time (ie. 10 pictures at the same time, just hold down CTRL + Left Click on each picture u want)
3. for "image resize" make sure it says 'do not resize'
4. click 'upload now'
5. if you uploaded 10 pics, you will now see 10 diff pictures. click into each picture 1 at a time and on the right hand side click the blue text that says 'Embed this Image'. it should drop down to 4 links. you want to copy and paste the one that says "FORUM" to here.

DRL light on inside on??

Did ur kit come with a decoder to fool the system and not have the internal DRL light turn on in the inside panel?

They usually have a module and a relay harness to by pass the MID error message on the dash and also give you full 12V power instead of 6V. But the drawback you will lose your highbeam while the DRL are engage.

Here is my set up from JLC Lightings for my 4G
Im also currently using 18 SMD LED Bulb but will be upgrading to CREE which is 2X brighter than conventional SMD LEDs

You shouldn't lose your highbeam, as the high beams come from your regular headlights (by virtue of being bi-xenon projectors).

Just curious, why didn't you spend the extra $5 and upgrade to the 68 SMD LED bulbs? I would do that, instead of the CREE bulbs. The CREE bulb DRLs Group Buy has been a total shitshow on the Infitini Forum. I'd give the corresponding Azine thread a read, before I pulled the trigger on it. Caveat emptor.

4G don't have bi-xenon. Unlike the 3G TL.

I was initially testing there DRL LED and that time they ran out of 68 SMD LED. I am in the process of swapping out my 18 SMD today and they going to test out the CREE LED/SMD Combo for the DRL LED.

The 9005 bulb type for the DRL will come out soon and will be testing once it is out. These work perfectly for the 3G because for the 4G there is a shield in front of the high beam assembly. Where as the 3G high beam dont have a shield in front.

I know not the right thread for this, but its aligned to the topic of interest.

I want to replace my reverse lights. Are these bulbs going to fit?

Did an install with LED DRL's on my'06 tl, didn't work; added resistor, worked in temporary setup (tape splice, etc). Finally installed fully, now not working.....believe most likely is my DRL module (heard some older tl's had drl module probs....)

So some of u guys got by with plug and play, no kit and no error code on dash? Lucky. I got the ijdm 120 SMD that I'm so anxious to get installed but trying to figure out which harness and decoder to get or if they're needed at all. Might get JnCs next year so may not even deal with it all now. Was really hoping for a plug n play.

Damn, just got the kit instead. Is it an easy install for someone not so handy?
