I havent rubbed yet but the camber is off still in the rear so when i get an alignment wednesday and they adjust the rear i might get them rolled in the rear.

I'm talking about the driveability of the car such as clearance issues and scraping. I loved the look of my Cobra slammed, but it was the biggest pain driving it anywhere. It seems like the TL sits fairly high at stock height so I don't know if 1.75-2" will make a huge difference.

 

havent scraped anywhere yet. I knew it wouldnt make it in my parents driveway from the way its designed so i didnt even try. Here is there driveway when i was at stock height

Car is looking great. I'm surprised how similar your drop is compared to my s techs, which dropped me a little more than I expected. A spec lip time!

They don't have it in asm any more so I'm looking at added cost unlike the base 04 kit

 

Then that's it...go for the base then. ATLP and XLR8 make a base tip and RV6 will eventually too.

I like having an all original 04 aspec kit.

If you don't plan on getting a new exhaust, I'd stick with the base rear. The tips you have on now won't fill out the type s rear and I've really grown to like the base aspec rear.

 

Actually the quad tips i have on now should fill the space nicely

 

If they fill the stock tip area now, they will be too small for the Type-S opening.

 

Only.have a 1/4 clearence on each side now if that

 

So that means you'll have a full inch on each side of the tips once you get the Type-S rear lip.

Dan, its simple, if you like quad tips go with the Type S aspec....if you like single tips (oval/round/porsche style) go with the base aspec....

I had the Type S aspec rear and i dislike quads with a passion (unless its burnt titanium style)....and i recently traded with a local for his base aspec kit....my oval tips (like ATLP) fit that opening sooo well...

 

If it comes to it, i can just keep my quad tips with the base kit

 

Mine started cracking by the passenger airbag today
