Finally Just Got My 2006TL/RBP/Parchment/6MT/Navi! it's ONLY 2 hours old! Saga + Pics
Ok guys - FINALLY after much ado, the car is here and MINE and in my lot!!! ok so here goes, I went this morning to pick it up at Smithtown Acura here in Suffolk County, Long Island, NY and this is the situation...the tint guy F'd up and put 50% tint INSTEAD of 35% tint, SO I made them TAKE OFF THE TINT and re-tint my car with 35% and then came back 1.5 hours later, 12PM EDT and then as my saleswoman is going over the interior, my wood grain steering wheel was put on, and they forgot to put the two buttons for the VOICE RECOGNITION, so they had to take OUT the airbag and such and put on those 2 buttons back because the voice recognition comes with the NAVI...which when they put the custom wheel on, forgot to do......so back to square TWO now, not square one, they put the buttons on and away I went at 1:45PM EDT out of the lot with my brand new 2006 'Ac TL Royal Blue Pearl/Parchment/6MT/Navi with 35% tint, lid spoiler, mudguards, trunk mat, wheel locks, wood grain wheel....
My Saleswoman Corinne was awesome, the finance manager and dealer manager is great, this one guy was an arrogant prick at the dealer arguing with me for 5-10 mins as to how my tint IS 35% and i'm like "NO ITS NOT" and that went back and forth, then he kept on arguing and gave me an attitude...then the TINT place Owner showed up and said he F'd up...the prick at the dealer was nowhere to be found...then after the steering voice recognition button issue as I was ready to leave the dealer with my new 'Ac, I went to the dealer manager (in charge of sales/service, working for the owner) and told him "that guy is a f*cking arrogant bastard, doesn't know how to deal with customers and told me that I have no 'idea what I'm talking about and how he worked at a tint place'"...the manager was happy to hear my feedback and comments and said he'll take action...he was more concerned with the fact that I wanted to be happy...
HERE ARE PICS...thank you XTIN for helping me out in posting pics, I'm an Acurazine Noob, you rock!!

love it, I wanted your color combination, however the TL was for my wife so she won out with the WDP. I miss living on L.I., I spent 6 years in Northport and was good friends with the owner of the Dealership where you got your new ride!

Most excellent car. Great colors....great everything. You will love it. I've had mine for a year and still afraid to park it anywhere. I have got to get over that.

You just can't trust dealer service departments fully, even when they're prepping a brand new car.
Congrats on your car!

The parchment contrasts very well with the dark interior. Great combination of colors! THe wood steering wheel is also a nice touch. Much better looking than the excessive plood that was shown by XTIN in her other post. Enjoy your new ride!

One on the right for me
I think the interior looks very good (and clean, obviously). I also like the wood kit, I didnt think I would but it seems to work well.

Got my '06 WDP/Parchment Auto, NAVI from Smithtown as well (2 months ago). Great dealership, great deal.
I really like your car - the color combo was my second choice. The only thing that didn't sit right with me is the glossy black trim around the side windows - it's too close in color to the blue but not close enough to blend in totally. That said, it was a tough choice for me.
I'm sure I'll see you around town - my WDP has mudguards painted WDP to match the car.
See ya!
