Finally, complete Aspec Kit!!!

I'm a rookie with the camera, so the pictures aren't that great. Still have a few more mods that I would like to do, but thought I would post a few pics for now. Stupid front plate law in Cali! Thanks for looking.

Thanks! Yeah, main reason I went with the type-s lip.

Thanks! Basically what I'm aiming to do. However, it takes a lot to make this car look bad, since TL already looks sick stock. IMO

I liked it even more when I started looking at other rear bumper lips like the toyota camry, which have that black section along the whole bottom. Makes me feel like the TL has something different.

The Aspec Kit is a must for a Base TL.

It looks great on a WDP!

I really like the base a-spec kit better. the front bumper isnt as bulky. I dont see the pic of the lip spoiler because i was gonna tell you it needs it but people keep saying how nice it is. maybe im missing something.

if you really dont want the front plate on the bumper, just put it on your dash.
as long as your license plate is visible it is legal..... I have a japanese plate on the front of my car, yet still no ticket (knock on wood)
I have my Cali plate Next to me JIC.
But, sexy car homie!

Thanks. I've been up and down on getting a lip spoiler. If I do get a spoiler, I'll see if I can get lucky and get a carbon fiber CSL style rear spoiler.

Thanks. I've done the dash license plate display in the past, and got a lot of attention from the CHP. I've never got pulled over in the TL for no front plate. Plus, I'm a sport it or don't sport it at all type of guy. The main reason I put it on is CHP is cracking down on everything. Cali really needs money, but not from my pocket!

I traded bumpers with another member on azine when he was putting his TL back to stock, his type-s rear bumper for my base. Bumpers don't come painted, so he had the bumper sprayed at a local shop. Paint job is a little off, but so is stock WDP. Still love it, WDP. The rest of the car is stock paint.

Funny you mentioned that. Purchased this a few weeks ago. I still need to buff it, but it's going to make the vinyl roof mod a lot easier for me to DIY.

The vinyl is a good way to go, I did mine that way almost two years ago and it still looks clean. Still want to paint it though. Where are you getting the vinyl from?

Nice to hear that that vinyl holds up good after two years. What brand did you use? I was considering painting it black, but I'll wait till I have to touch up the rest of the car, and have the shop paint the roof if I still love the black roof look.

Not sure where I plan on getting the vinyl from, maybe an azine vendor or ebay. I feel like 3M is the way to go based on other threads.

I used this:
http://bmwshadowline.com/shadowlinevinyls.html

Would recommend it for sure. Took good "abuse" stretching it to cure the roof. I would suggest popping the windshield trim to get it laid under, so it doesn't start peeling up over time.

I wonder if the RL's "shark fin" style antenna is a direct plug-in for out antenna?

Thanks for the tip. When it comes to the sun roof, how did you approach the corners? Did you cut an upside down "V" shape and fold in, or can vinyl be worked into corners with some stretching? Thanks.

I cut an "x" in the center of the sunroof and then stretched it down. I cut it about 1/2" down from the roof line, it doesn't go all the way to the corners but it hasn't started lifting either so you should be cut with minimal overhang. The thought was far enough down where the travel of the sunroof weather lining wouldn't catch it

I took the channels on the sides out as well and put the edge underneath them so it would be a straight line
