Hey everybody, ive been on this site for a little over two years and i was thinking to myself that im well over due for a progress thread. Just wanted to capture the transformation of my TL, so here it is.
I hope you guy's enjoy it.

One more thing before i get started, im taking a line from Tyler's (CLtotheTL32) thread lol. PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE THE FIRST POST i dont have ocd, but it will make this thread a little more organized.

When i first got the car the only upgrades it had were, all weather floor mats, and a wood grain shift knob.

Custom Cleared out Headlights with Type-S diffusers and custom made reflectors using the internals from a 2G CL taillight's
This was before the group buy on the clear reflectors. I had to do it the hard way but well worth it.

My rotors and pad were staight garbage, so i went with a nice upgrade to the RL's big brake kit which inludes the RL calipers that i got powdercoated mirror black, and i got powerslot nissan 350z brembo slotted rotors. can't forget the EBC redstuff brake pads. (Nice alternative to an over priced BBK)

Great transformations. You look like a wheel whore. White and gold was my least favorite look, it's done too often. Favorite look was the A-Specs. The chrome and cleared out headlights and such is just a really nice combo. Type-S wheels look good too though.

wheel whore i wish, I am hoping to score a nice set of aftermarket wheels though, just so hard to pic a set. Might just wait till the spring my car is getting ready for hybernation mode.

I got i painted because i got tired of it being AM, just wanted a new look, and since my car is already payed off i didn't want to trade it in to get a WDP.

Your car is pure sex and I love it. I'm jealous of the black roof and I sort of want to do a 07-08 base front end now. Where did you get the RL calipers? Those are much better looking than the nasty A/T calipers.

I'm with cjTL, I loved the chrome A-Specs. What happened to them? Oh and get some centercaps for those waffles

yes they will fit the only thing holding you back would be the custom brackets that are needed to mount them on. Paul, A member here on the forums makes them.

I got one of the calipers on line and the other I got from another member for a total amount of $145 shipped for both calipers. They are indeed way better looking that the stock AT TL's calipers, but they definitely perform a lot better. BBK FTW!

The A-Specs are actually just laying around Im thinking of selling them not sure yet. I just waiting on the guy who sold me the Type-S rims to send me those pesky center caps.

You should definitely do the 07-08 front end conversion looks great imo.

I'll be at the great falls meet, looking forward to seeing some new/old faces and some bad was cars.

Yup, you are not seeing things. That is in fact a 07-08 base bumper with an 04-06 A-spec lip. There was a lot of cutting in order to make it fit, but it looks great imo. The cut lines are visible, but nothing major. I was planning to get those filled inn, but not sure yet, as I might go a different direction.

Lol, those pics were taken with a very crappy cell phone camera, I think it only had a 1.3 mp.

Just about Mike I think the only oem set I didn't rock was the 07-08 base, but that's because there not really my cup of tea.
The gold wheels are now being rocked by a Lexus IS.

Thanx for your input, but you forgot to read the part where it states that i got the car re-tinted, it's under month 9 and year 2010. The pics that you saw are before the tint was re-done.
It's no biggie though. This is what they look like now.

Yeah i think i worked up a good bargain took me a while to get them though. just keep your eyes open im sure you'll come up with a set.

Just get used to people staring down at your calipers while driving, especially if you got some rims that will show your calipers while there moving.

I catch people staring at them all the time on the highway.......... I need some rolling pics.

I know your busy with your kids, so just let me know when you have some extra time and ill come up there so we can knock out the electronincs. Hopefully we get some pics in this time. It seem like everytime we do an install day we always forget the pics.

yeah, the 07-08 base wheels would have to be real cheap and then be used for emergencies only. like my stockies.

I have to get my fund right first to finish the RL mod. I purchased both calipers and that's where I stopped, for now. can't wait cus they look GOOD

Wow you have done A LOT to that TL... only question is if you go the jambs painted too, didnt see any pics with the doors open. Would suck to see all that work done and have half a paint job!
Props on the brake upgrade, i need to do that once i get the S/C installed!

Yeah, i know what you mean about the wing spoiler, at first I was all over it, but as time went by it seemed like I fell out of love with it. It also made the rear of my car look extra busy especially with the roof spoiler back there.
