Thanks dude!

1) It's different for sure. While I'm not sure how I feel about the design itself, I like it because it's different. People don't expect to see it when I open the hood.
2) No idea
3) Yezzir! He was on the road around 4:00 that morning. I met him at Chick-Fil-A around 6:45.
4) Thanks I'm really happy with how they turned out.

Yeah I know the engine bay is hit or miss but meh, it's different. At least I HAVE engine panels with my car.

Ok...
Tyler, a few things to address here:
Car Stance:Perfect
Overall Appearance:Perfect
Engine covering:Actually looks pretty effin cool. PS, is that artistically painted or wrapped? I actually just bought a set of engine covers for 40 shipped to have a backup set (and all my tabs are broken). I'm thinking of having it all wrapped too.

Great job and thanks for taking the time to share with us.
That Z was so effing clean. Pictures don't do it justice.

Thanks Jeremy for all of the compliments! It's called hydro dipping. Here's a video of the procedure on a motorcycle gas tank...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yxr0S...eature=related

If I understand the process correctly it's a special piece of vinyl which is set on top of water. They spray some sort of activator on the vinyl which makes it separate from the paper backing. Then they push the piece over the vinyl slowly and the vinyl adheres to the piece. Pretty cool shit.

It's pretty damn cool!

It takes some time to get used to.

Thanks Tyler! Get those damn springs on

Very cool! Above my pay grade, but a cool process. I think I'll probably have em painted copper...I've been itching for a contrasting color and kinda miss the copper of my RSX. I got a friend that might paint it for me...

Love the "show-stoppahh!" engine bay. Inspires me to do something to spice up mine.

The centercaps look really good too. I'm curious how well the plasti-dip will hold up to weather, washing, etc. There are so many edges on the "A" emblems, so it seems like it'll start peeling off fairly easily.

No problem bud! I am working on it! BTW with those centercaps, you have the "Type S" ones on there correct? What were the other ones you had before? That were more indented into the cap.

Ive had my emblems, grille and window trim coated since March/April IIRC. I didn't do a great job of it, but its standing up to the elements pretty well.

Just to let everyone know that might be interested in doing something similar to Tyler's Engine bay pieces, I was the original owner of these pieces. The company that did them is called Source Hydrographics out of Va Beach,VA. I'm good friends with one of the owners. These guys do amazing work and can do any combination of colors or graphics. Including CARBON FIBER!!. If you would like to check out their work go to http://www.sourcehydro.com. If you are interested in getting anything done let me know and I can hook you up with my contact and get you a deal.

Thanks! The engine bay pieces are growing on me.

Yeah I was worried about the coating on the emblems as well but it seems to be holding up rather well. We shall see how it does over time!

Yeah I used to have a set of Type-S on there and replaced them with the original 2004 Gunmetal centercaps that originally came with the wheels.

Attending another meet tomorrow. Luckily for me it's only 12 miles away from my house

So fresh and so clean clean...

Oh hai open slot rotors

Look at that gorgeous pearl in the paint. And that's just the passenger side mirror!

Back to the engine covers for a moment. Since it's vinyl that's laid over the pieces, the raised letters and such are still legible...

Few more of the engine...

Mmmmmmmm ATLP...

You better believe it...

Alright that's all for now. Time to get some grub like my man Cosmo did...

I concur...it's the perfect blend of white and black to go with his theme...

PS...stay tuned, got my engine covers done today...install probably tomorrow.

PS...you know what...that black burlwood would look great as a vinyl applique on my silver interior trim pieces that are all scratched up from my pockets etc....
