Anyways, I got bored earlier and took a few pictures.
Today was barely 80 degrees so I've been sitting outside on the computer most of the afternoon enjoying it...
I think that ugly ass thing is older than I am
but it's comfy.Here's the squeaky POS I ride to class everyday...
The gears constantly slip and the front suspension is squeaky as fawk.

I got the bike for free so I can't complain too much. I'm eying a nice Trek but it's a bit pricey.

Well, to be honest, in your situation, I'd be all over a commuter bike with 700CC tires...small enough tires and good ergonomics to ride FAST...fenders on it for rainy days (you don't want to get to class with mud butt). Just stick with base, with linear pull brakes etc...
as a matter of fact, it's a hobby I'm starting to get into ...you could pick up a base bike at any local pawn shop with a cool shape color. Convert from road bike handlebars to straight bars with a slight rise, any color scheme, make it single speed...buy all parts on ebay. Pretty cheap and you end up with a cool bike you built.

Damn J, you're really into the biking scene aren't you? You would HATE my bike. The front shocks are blown and the front wheel is bent so it rubs the brakes constantly so you have to pedal harder. It's such a piece

Tyler, buy a real god damn bike. Buddy has a next, but he doesn't ride it, hence why. Look into a giant as well. That's what I have, and ts ten years old now, not even chipped paint. I have a similar body type to yours, and liked the feel of those frames so much more than treks
