It was pretty cloudy all day today until Hurricane Katrina decided to hit Raleigh

I've put about 4400 miles on my car since the beginning of the year. About 1500 of them have been within the last month and a half since I didn't have class

Old school Hondas FTMFW! My Civic had that, and IIRC my Prelude did too.

My Civic just had a harder time reaching that lofty goal

With not having an income, I'm fine with it. I was hoping to only put 5000 miles on my car this entire year but clearly that won't be happening.

I had an 88 Civic hatch, OE paint that looked better then my CLs paint. I never waxed the thing. I never polished it. I used horrible washing techniques. And it still looked great 21 years after it rolled off the showroom floor. You cant say that about new cars.

Dont laugh at the picture. I had just gotten my DSLR and thought I was being artistic or some shit

Love old Hondas. My dad had a black 2G sedan in MT, that's the first car I remember ever riding in.

My parents bought a grey 1988 Accord brand new because I was on the way and I wanted from fresh new shyt to be chauffeured in

We sold it in 1996 when we bought the Intrepid. The Accord provided me no rear leg room so it had to go

My Mom had a 90 Si that she sold for $1500 in 1999 due to an AC issue. Had 55K original miles...what I wouldn't do to go back in time and pick it up off her hands. The car was PRISTINE. She replaced it with a 1999 dark green GSR.

I had a 1991 civic hatch too, in red...but mine was a DX. Bought a side mirror at the junk yard and that was about it, drove the heck out of that thing.

And get this...my ex...when I met her, she had a 91 Legend coupe. Had an engine issue so she parked it in a guest spot at her Dad's place and left it long enough to get the warning to move it and then let them tow it away and keep it.

Yes! Mine was an 88 Standard (extreme base model) that didnt have a/c, power anything, or a side mirror. No rear wiper either. I lost many gallons of sweat in that thing

I remember driving from Miami to Tampa to catch a Yankee game with my brother and getting caught in a downpour in the Everglades. No a/c meant no defroster. So it was either keep the windows closed and keep wiping down the windshield, or roll them down and get soaked. We chose the former. That was a brutal trip.

But I loved that car so much.

my first car was a 1995 maruti suzuki esteem

...a 1.3 liter 4-cylinder....G13B engine which featured hollow camshafts, stronger web casting on the engine block, a better flowing intake manifold (the prior generation intake manifold had its shape compromised to fit into the engine bay), and its ECU now had electronic control over ignition timing. It now put out 100 hp (75 kW) of power....

second car was/is the TL

(d) both the cars...

esteem was a stick and TL is auto....I do honestly wish i could go back in time and pick a MT....

I know what you mean about a shitty powerband. I would keep revving out the Civic waiting to get into the meaty part of the powerband, and then I'd have to shift and start all over again

I loved the cable clutch and the shift rods. The shifter had such a direct feel.

My first car had a 5.4L V8 with 300 horsepower and 365 ft lb torque

2005 F150 btw. Before his G35, my dad had always driven a truck, and I loved being high up in the air. The damn thing never got more than 12 mpg and a being a high school student at the time, it was a bit excessive.

I sold the F150 for $2k more than I paid for it and got the CL.
