Christmas came a little early

soo.. apparently hitting a speedbump at 55 isnt a good idea...

4 cracked rims and broken windshield

so i called insurance they, they gave me a check for $1832 just for my rims, that i purchased used here for like 700 with tires!!

found these rims and i was in love came out to $1840, so deductable + $8

20x10 +40 243/35 5 inch lip!!!
20x8.5 +40 235/30

So id say Christmas came a little early
Sory for the crappy cameraphone pics... car is still in the shop

Any one wanna bet $20.00 this guy one of the new wheels lips before two weeks go by...then back to the insurance company?!? Not wishing him bad luck or anything like that, but 55MPH over speed bumps?

wow 4 cracked rims

Well hopefully he learned his lesson. This car needs a drop bad it looks like crap right now honestly.

Maybe a drop will force you to slow down for speedbumps also lol

wait so you told your insurance company that you hit a speed bump doing 55?? because unless speedbumps are on the interstate...you are clearly speeding doing more than double the limit and I feel like you should be handing them a check for 1832.00 for being a clear dumbass...just sayin

The rims look pretty good. Just needs to be lowered!!!

And when I read 55, I was like no way. 55 KM/H is so bad (about the speed limit in the city of Ontario), but 55 MPH is even worst!!!

I just hope you're okay. That bump probably didn't do your body/neck any good.
I can imagine it would hurt like hell.

Sorry, but not only are you an idiot to go 55 on a speed bump, but you also used the money you cheated to buy some ugly ass rims. This isn't a early Christmas present, but an early April fools, fool.

I dont think the wheels are that bad, not my taste but seen worse.

He said he told them the model of the wheels and they cut him a check, how is that cheating?

55 in what seems to be a residential area is pretty stupid, but I think keeping an open mind until OP clears up the story is the smarter thing to do.

If he told insurance exactly what happened, and he answered the questions fine, then it's fair play.

Might wanna put a little more air in that front tire, though.

I pulled off on a weighstation in the middle of the night on accident .. no lights were on on at the station and it looked like there was a pass through lane on the left going back to the highway.. I slowed down from the exit and I didn't see the speedbump untill it was right infront of me .. tow truck driver said it happens all the time .. the last one he picked up was a bike

Damn, sorry to hear the sad news, but that is the difference between cheap konigs and quality forged wheels.. forged wheels would have probably been badly bent at worst.

well thats the question now... from what i hear i can only drop it bout 1-1.25 without heavily modifying my fenders/camber so i was thinking, for now springs

yup, i told insurance the full truth and they worked with me, my rates will be going up. i expected to pay a few hundred for the difference of the check and the rims but they gave me a lot more than i thought they would

You have interesting taste in wheels. I'm curious how it'll look after a nice drop.

It's a shame-I really like the wheels that were damaged. The new ones are nice, but....
