chill_dog's WDP with Custom Tails!...
This is chill_dog's TL. He's finished his tail light project and i'm very impressed with the results! I'll let him elaborate on the process of how he constructed them. But for now, here are some pics of his work.

Unlit, they are not as dark as they look in the pics. They just look like clear/white lenses and reflectors. Although I think the internals are shaded slightly, it's not obvious in person.

Thanks guys. As the local guys know, I'm lazy, so these have been "in progress" for a long time.
What I did...painted the trim gunmetal metallic and put light smoke tint on the clear internal lenses (brake lights, reflector, turn signal).
As for the turn signal, when these pics were taken, they were white (stock bulb). When I got home, my red/chrome bulbs were waiting for me. I put them in, but they're a little lighter than I was expecting. Oh well.

Eric - those are really nice pictures...thanks for taking them and posting them up. No telling how long it would've been before I got around to it (and they definitely wouldn't have looked as good). The more I think about it, the more I think that tire's not going to work. Nonetheless, the Devotions will get back on (unless somebody wants them all of a sudden).

The lights look good chill_dog. You should definitely put the Devotions back on. Not sure why you were selling them in the first place. They are so unique.

Sort of. The outer lens is from a set of TL-S lights, the inner lenses are from a set of 04-06 lights. The inside lenses of the 04-06 lights are clear, as is the outer lense of the TL-S (and 07-08 base). You've got to cut the lights open with a Dremel, part and piece them together, and seal them up.

looks nicer than blacked out tails since the color goes with the smoked/carbon fiber theme of the tl

Chill Dog...wow, that looks great. I like the way the side markers match the tails.
