You noticed! That was the idea, to have all of the lights look similar.

Wheels? I had wheels before you had a TL . But I've had them off for a while and I don't post a lot of pics...I have two sets of wheels, actually; Devotion 3pF's (the ones for sale) and a set of ultra light wheels that I've stripped and need to prime/paint. Unless someone buys the Devotions, I'll be putting them back on soon.

Wow Jack, these look great. You took a long ffffing time to do this mod but it paid off in the end. A little advice, buy new tires. It seems a little odd that you have a set of rims worth 2000 but you are looking for tires for under 100. Rubbers on the cock and on the ride need to be new or you may end up with a problem....lol.

Chili, sounds like you could sell these and make a nice profit. This light would be sick on a ssm.

I NEED a set of clear diffusers...send a set my way and I'll sell you these lights for cost of parts. I'll even throw in the red/chrome bulbs for the turn signals. Even though it's an arduous task, I wouldn't mind making another set. In fact, I'm determined to find an easier way to do it, and making another set would give me that opportunity.

Nothing to teach, simply followed the DIY's floating around, particularly the one by JAEZUSTL, or whatever his name is.

If I planned on keeping the wheels, I'd do that. But you've got to keep in mind the end-game, Jon, which is the wheels in my mudroom, not my garage. Oddly enough, I took a good look at the tread on the tires yesterday, and I think I underestimated when I put 50-60% in my FS thread...they're damn near new.

Damm it....I thought I would be first to do this! haha...They look better than I anticipated. Great work chill dog!

So what would be the correct matching Switchback for this? Did you smoke the inner lenses from the inside or outside? Use any clearcoat over the smoke? Reason I ask is cuz I have smoked my red sidemarkers before and they faded a few weeks later. Clear coat prevented this, obviously. it was a Cake fix for sidemarkers but I would hate for the inside of the tails to fade.

Thanks. I used tint on the outside of the inner lenses; no clearcoat. As for bulbs, I have some red/chrome ones in there now, but have some LEDs in the mail. I got the 27-LED 7440 bulbs from v-leds.com.

Laziness has set in...I have no desire to build another set of taillights right now.

Diffusers are great. I have three of four clear reflectors cut. I was supposed to cut the fourth one last night, but after getting up early and working twelve hours, I wasn't in the mood (nor did I have the focus) to do it. I'll probably get to it Saturday. Then tint, reassemble, seal, and install. My current goal is to install next weekend.

Got further behind schedule this weekend (instead of catching up). I'm now looking at installing the 28th .

I'm looking forward to seeing Brian's new heads, although from what he described, they sound like they'll be awesome, but a little much for me.

Another set of heads? That's great, but when are you going to step up and do a set of tails? They aren't that hard.

CD,
Nice work...

Just finished mine up this morning:

Nothing as custom as yours, just white lenses on TL-S frames. Hoping it'll warm up soon so i can mount them up.

I figured the white would match the WDP right nice, and the black chrome framing matches the TL-S license trim I added last year.

I've never been one to do much tinting, that's a form over function mod I could never justify... but I must admit, it looks great.

Great job.

^Just saw where you bumped that old thread. Those look good. They should match your car very well (didn't you swap TL-S trim front and rear or have your OEM trim painted?). The tinting took a few tries to get the hang of...thankfully I bought plenty of extra with that in mind.

^On the main forum page, look for a thread about clear taillights by JAZEUS or something. Kennedy just bumped it, so it should be near the top.
