Blue LED Interior

Some people are asking what the LED interior mod looks like so here is a pic I took tonight with a tripod. These are 9LED Hyper Whites but as you can see, have a very strong blue light from them...

Its really not this blue in person, I think the pic exaggerates it a lot but it gives you an idea of the brightness

No photoshop on these..just what my camera picked up.

Xtin, not only is your camera fantastic, but the colors are deeper and richer cause of the longer night time exposure shot (see how the normal houselight looks in the bottom pic?). That top one is simply beautiful.

Yeah, the film is a bit over-exposed, but dayum those are some bright lights. Do you wait 10 minutes after you get in at night to drive. I would imagine your are blinded for at least that.

sweet! I just ordered all the bulbs for the TL from Brian at tec-toyz.com the other day. 11 bulbs for $71 shipped. These replace the map lights, rear domes, center console, glovebox, front door courtesy lights, license plate lights, and backup lights

Hmmm....some of them are the 70-200L f2.8 and the other shorter/wide angle lens is the 17-85IS

Im not sure if any of that makes sense to a non Canon/camera person

off TL topic but did you pick up the 20D with that 17-85 as combo purchase or seperately. Price and location if I may ask (another amatuer photography nut in the house).

I am aware of that. ckya mentioned that its white LEDs in front. I was wondering if we can see more of the parchment interior with JUST the blue LEDs... especially when its dark in the background.

Lightbulb

hey guys - so as most of you know, I'm getting my RBP/Parchment/Navi/Stick/06TL this monday the 17th and love the LED interior lights, been speaking to xtin and she's given me some wonderful advice.

I'd also be interested, with parchment interior, should we do BLUE or WHITE LED's? would blue make it look tacky?

Well like I mentioned, a lot of that is the camera taking pics at night and having the shutter open for 5 seconds

sry man, gotta wait a week for pics cuz the TL is @ home and i won't be back in 1 week.....
to be honest with u, it looks a bit weird...for me...kinda got used to it afterward...and it really depends on the color of the LED...i ordered 2 different leds (6led and 9led) and they have different blue. also the blue can vary with different camera with different white balance setting and exposure.

one more thing, if u notice the driver and passenger seat, the color is different becuase it's different white led...passenger one has more purple tint on it sumhow. it's more noticeable with longer expoursure.

i will try and take some pics with all blue leds next thusday when i'm home

Thanks for the heads up. I am waiting for jmbnova to post pics as well. Thanks!

BTW, just curious, are you male or female. That pucca hanging on your rear view got me thinking. Ha haa.. I'm male. I had a mashimaro hanging in my last car.
