Its so hard to tell what these look like at night. Are they really blue like this? I'd love some blue ones. I had some painters tape on my truck interior lights after replacing the back window and it blue-d up the whole cab. I been driving around with my ghetto lights ever since. I'm leaning towards these tec-toyz....

Xtin,

What did you guys used to pop the plastic cover of the lights before replacing them? I pin would work? I am scared to damage the plastic cover..

Please let me know a safe way to do this.

Thanks in advance

So is the consensus (sp) that the License Plate LED's are blah? I think most of us would like the IS350 look right?

You need to slip a butter knife between the plastic and the metal flange beneath and pry it off. Be careful- it's easy to get the knife under the metal flange- you need to make sure you're between the two. Once you have it in there I think it helps if you push the knife in towards the light as you'll be bending the tab holding it up.

Just take it gently and you'll get it without busting anything. Unfortunately it was my experience that once you've done this it doesn't make it any easier to do it again. It's not really like the doors or other lights.

Just put mine in a few minutes ago. Wouldn't say these are great for finding items on the floor, but for general lighting they look very nice. I'm VERY happy with how they make the interior look and will be sending Brian some positive feedback. I bought the Hyper Whites and these are blue Enough for me. The license plate LED is ...OK...not quite the IS350 look I was hoping for, but oh well. By the way this is all on a 2G CL.

Hi could someone please let me know how I could replac the license plate lights. I took the light container out but I can't take it out fully because its stuck inside the white see through part of the license plate holder of the car? How could I get it out to plug the lights IN?

please help

What I had to do (and it was a real pita) was put the outer lens in from the outside and the bulb holder in from the inside. You really have to practice, have one bulb put together in the trunk so you can see how it fits together. so the lens put in from the outside and the bulb holder from the inside. worked for me, but it wasn't easy.

i think they are hyper whites.. but the camera+lens were probably d-slr and it has different lighting effect so it looks too blue-ish.. bet it doesn't look that blue in real life

did you check your fuse. that sounds like the problem if they were working then they stopped when you finnished the job. and the key fob is prob with that too. check your fuse and replace that before you get pissed. should be nothing to worry about.

no not at all. really simple. look in your manual there should be something that tells you how. you should probebly have a few extra fuses in the fuse boxes. i dont have a 3rd gen so i dont know exactly where they are. but in mine if you open up the drivers or passangers door on the side of the dash board there should be a panel that you can remove and you should see the fuse box. and it should have a schematic of what each fuse is. im sure you can figure it out from there. i dont know what side of the car it is on. there should also be a fuse box under the hood. but i doubt you will ever need to touch that.

Yeah, you will have to buy a new one. My suggestion for troubleshooting is to take a non essential fuse from another position (MAKE SURE IT'S THE SAME AMPERAGE) plug it into the position already blown and check your lights. Either way, purchase some new fuses.
