A bit of an update. I had a little bit of time last week to install the headlights. I didn't get a chance to do a proper photo shoot or adjust the headlights at night. Resolved any issues about the side marker bulbs and modified the drl bulbs by cutting the tabs inside the bulbs so that the stock connector will work.
Old headlights were shipped out to @rockstar143 . I apologize again for their condition but I'm sure you can bring them back to their formal glory!
Thank you to the members here in azine who helped me track down the inner body seal. If I have time later after my doctor's appointment, I'll install it. Here are just some photos. I hope to get some proper photos sometime soon.
Thanks again, Gus...I'll give them new life.
Thanks brother.
Car looks great!
Anytime J. I should really be thanking you.
Headlights should be there today

Thank you brotha! I didn't think anyone would really want them. They needed some TLC. They were custom headlights done by JNC back in 2008. I was surprised they lasted this long. The housings were starting to pull apart. IF you live close enough to J, maybe take him out to a REALLY nice spot for dinner in exchange for the headlights

With the push from wifey and my azine friends, I decided to attend honda acura classic meet at Bridgewater acura. It's about 45 mins away. I swapped wheels and cleaned up the TL for the show. Wifey will be joining me in the m40i. Snapped a few photos but will have the slr tomorrow.
Honda Acura Classic show, turned out great. Thank you @rockstar143 for having the one and only Mike Chan (YouTube ACH) interview me and take the time to look at my TL. I didn't want to correct him while he was recording, he mentioned my tl 06, no biggie. Cool guy. Appreciate it J!
I was a bit shocked how many people knew my car as "that's Iwhine_tl!" Or I've seen this TL before its stupid clean. I got a lot of love. Reconnected with some OGs in the past. Use to attend Menlo Park meets. Same group of friends I attended Honda Day at ATCO with.
Overall a great experience. Only negatives were some attending leaving the event as if it's a coffee and cars show. Some of these cars were obnoxiously loud to the point where you couldn't continue a conversation.
Here's something most in here would really appreciate, especially @Acura TL Builder a silver 2008 TL-S manual transmission with.... 2,000 miles. That's correct 2000 miles. I met the owner who is a wonderful gentleman. We chatted a bit. He was very impressed with the condition of my TL considering its at 99,000 miles.
The story behind his TL, it was purchased from Honda America about 5 or 6 years ago. Undisclosed price. I can only guess it was at msrp or higher. The owner is a car collector who also owns a 91 NSX. He said "out of all my vehicles, this one is the best one" (the TL-S).
There was only three 3rd gen TLs at the show. A younger lady with a TL-S parked next to me. Her plate was awesome. We chatted for a bit. Overall most at the show were great people.
It was an honor to be at the show. Big thank you again to J, Mike, Fred and the owner of Bridgewater Acura. Sorry for the cell phone pictures. I spent most of my time speaking to others. I was happy to have the TL back home, cleaned up and covered.

I am glad that I caught this meet for you, as I missed mine do to the location of the meet. That 2k miles ASM is mint, well except for the broken cup holder slide cover, @rockstar143 I guess even Honda/Acura selling "junk" used car now? LOL
Good to seeing you have a good time at the meet. Like always your TL is in tip top shape.

Thank you brotha for the heads up about this event. I told the owner of the dealership, it would be better to raise the cost (to enter the show) if it would help keep the less than ideal group of individuals from showing up. They were trying to show case the Integra including the NSX-S. They put the REAL integra's including NSX's & S2000's by the main booth. The rest were put in different groups. Maybe I have less spider webs under my TL now
By the way if anyone is interested, this is the TL-S owners business website.
Wow!! 2000 mile 6MT!! Will be following that gentleman! That may be the lowest mileage personal owned Type-S we will ever see.
Would have been amazing to beat that show! My favorite cars all in one place. Did anyone make a video we can see of that event?
I brought my SLR, but got side tracked talking to others at the show. You can follow Mike's Instagram, he posted a few videos on his stories https://www.instagram.com/chan_mike/?hl=en

Mike is a cool guy! I'm pretty sure he will. I'll have to ask J for a favor if he doesn't
Wasn't this TL, though I know the lady in this video. If I recall, she no longer has it? The one that was at the show had a black TL-S, mid 20's. I've seen her post a few times on one of the FB groups.
Awesome show, looks like you guys had some great weather. I love the Legend, I wish I had one.
That’s really cool about the low miles TL-S, smart man he has the right color too

You wish to have a Legend? wait until you deal with that oil seal leak within the differential lol. I used to had one back in the day, as far as that silver TL... That bring alot of memory when your TL was new was it?
@04WDPSeDaN first AZ feature on AHC was J with his KBP and double dip with paint caliper, lol the next one was me during one of the TL-S build video. Now you for the cleanest TL.

wow, I didn’t realize the legend had those issues. I just really like the looks. I like boxy cars. I first saw a Toyota Century in 2018 during my first (and only so far) trip to Japan. I also saw some R34 skylines and a Pagani ZondaF… the wife kept walking, and pretended she didn’t know me, we were in public and I was not very PG-13…
Funny you mentioned “Old” memories, because after seeing the pics Gus posted, I looked at my old TL pics. Good ole days, but, I have to say, the love for the car now is different then what it was then. Back then, it was the shock of “wow this is my car, I bought this, life is good!” (Shortly followed by the financial shock). It was my first new car and my first manual car. I know I’m weird in the head, but I used to go sit in it, in the garage late at night after the wife was in bed. Less than a year after getting it, I was installing the baby seat and I will always remember how irrationally nervous I was driving my daughter home after she was born. It’s funny, even though, I was pretty used to stick shift by that time, but when you have precious cargo, even subconscious actions become conscious decisions… ( I was coaching myself ok; let the clutch out gently… ok cool, now let’s think about going to 2nd gear, ease off the throttle, now clutch in….) anyways I probably aged 1 year on that 10 minute drive home.
Then from that point, my wife on day says “I have never driven a manual and I want to learn”, so out we went and she loved it! I have mentioned it in some other threads but my wife now has taken the TL-S as her daily.
Now, it is just part of the family. My wife and I cannot think of replacing it, I know the saying “Aged like fine wine” is cliche but, I would say; I like the TL-S more now than when we got it.
It is comfortable, really fun to drive ( I like the manual in it, and I also like the slightly longer brake pedal travels, helps with rev match) and solid in terms of reliability.
Anyways, I’ll need to give the TL a nice wash this weekend and take come pictures (hopefully time and weather permitting).
Oh and final thought: I wouldn’t want my TL to be that low in miles, that’s too much pressure. I love it as is and I want to enjoy it, I don’t want to build a mental spreadsheet with value lost per mile driven and how much per rock chip…
I think it’s awesome that a collector got his hands on it and that it will be well preserved, but me, personally, I’m not rich enough to be a collector, but I have enough to drive what I have .
There's not much going on with the TL other than it's been put back into my friends garage because my driveway is getting a make over. Still haven't installed the body seal . Being lazy. I did check on the TL today to make sure it was still in the garage.. still there.
@04WDPSeDaN I see that you going from brick to actual masonry, that driveway gonna be freaking nice afterward man.
In the group chat, the guys think i'm nuts to replace the pavors but it was part of the agreement I had with the construction going on next door. With all the new work done to our home, the faded pinkish pavors doesn't match anything. Besides most of those pavors are stained and cracked with the biggest issue being, I would be about 150 pavors short of completing my driveway since my property lines are now correct. I can't find the existing pavor. So wifey and I jumped at the opportunity to redo the entire driveway with nicolock pavors. Doing a lighter tan color as the main and a brown color as an accent boarder. The exact colors are Nicolock stone ridge pavers Travertina (Main color) and stone ridge pavors Oyster blend (Accent color) with LED pavor lighting. It's going to look great!
The last thing, is the fence that runs along the one side of the garden bed. It's technically my fence as the posts are on my property and the "finished" side is on my neighbor. I discussed about replacing the fence with vinyl one to match what's on the new house next door. He was cool with it at 1st but then kept fighting with me.. I ended up buying the fence after he said OK (I didn't ask him to go in on it) and exactly the next day he was getting upset again about whose fence it is. This is the problem when you live so close to everyone. The sad part is, i'm the only one that helps out all the neighbors including buying them crap. Everyone likes to take advantage of your kindness.
Thanks FB memories. 9 years ago we attended a Smithtown Acura show. That was the last time my TL has ever left NJ. How ironic that this year (1st time in 9 years) I attended a similar event?! Must be a sign. I guess my next Acura dealership event will be in another 9 years?!
On a side note, I'm glad I redid my WORK wheels with a better color and specs. Also glad not to be that low anymore..

Ahh I see ya mentioned, awesome my friend! Interesting that they went with spacers (been awhile since I watched the entire series, I do remember @rockstar143 and his one size too small of a t-shirt though (super cool that you get to hang out with these dudes, I'm just bustin balls bud...) I go back and forth about getting some 15mm H & R's, eases my mind seeing them using some spacers.
@jeffstlnote Hey, I blame everyone but myself for that! Mike Chan for giving me a Large in a slim fit...and gosh darn blue bell for having such good flavors.
Thanks for getting my sarcasm! Actually the episode you're in I have seen many times, because I decided to tackle the calipers on my 08 6mt (left the 07's alone) and was looking for any helpful tips I could find, that episode was just what I was after. I did ok I suppose...

Looks great to me! Sorry for missing this. Missed it while posting from my phone.
Small update, house related.. here's the finished driveway. The paver company plans on sending a professional photographer to take photos of our driveway. I plan on moving the vehicles back over the weekend. Many many compliments on the driveway.
