Thank you Phil! A lot of hard work over the years. The garden certainly makes a difference. I take a lot of pride on the appearance of our home. We get a lot of compliments from people just walking by. A new neighbor purchased a home down the street from us. The driveway was a mess. They walked over last week and were completely blown away with our driveway. I told him the manufacture and gave them a catalog. They looked at the new house built next to us, which also has nicolock pavers. The wife likes ours but the husband liked the other. Yesterday while driving down our street, I saw a truck unloading driveway material. At a quick glance I saw dark pavers but also so a light color paver or retaining wall blocks. If I see them outside later i'll stop on by. They went with Nicolock. By the end of next month, we will seal the driveway (Nature finish no gloss).
Thank you very much brotha! Glad it's done

I forgot to post this but just did in another thread. While attending the Acura event, I snapped a photo of my mpg while cruising along in 6th gear with AC on. I was in 5th gear for some of the drive in order to burn through the 7-8 month old gasoline. Needless to say, it did very well and I forgot how incredibly well the TL is while cruising on the highway.

Decided to take the TL out to a local show today. Great turn out. The TL got some love today, which is unusual considering the type of vehicles there. I'll take the kind compliments.

Love the care and attention to detail you have for your belongings Gus.
Did you hear about BMW now offering subscriptions for heated seats?
https://www.businessinsider.com/bmw-...-series-2022-7
One more reason to keep and maintain the 3G TL.

I've heard as most already have as well.. but good news is, doesn't affect US customers and my BMW's come with physical buttons. I'm certain this bullshit is with the new BMW's where the climate control is part of the giant gauges cluster / infotainment screens.

Based on what BMW said, it's not even how everyone thinks. It's only for those who didn't get heated seats. They said most, if not all, US market BMWs come with heated seats so it won't effect us. But if you buy one and it doesn't come with heated seats(didn't want to pay an extra $4k to get the higher trim or didn't like that model) then you pay the $17/mth to have heated seats added. But it still makes me wonder, are they being like Tesla? They have the features installed on the car but if you want it unlocked, you pay the fee to get it.

everything in the future will be a la carte, nothing is included and you'll just have to pick what you pay extra for...
same shit, we used to just pay for shit we didn't want we just didn't know it because it was included in the price.

It's been an eventful week for the TL. I started the TL to get it ready for state inspection. It had a sluggish crank, once started the cluster looked like Christmas lights. I've never seen these lights on and thought, perhaps it's the kittens I found under my car..
Yes to those kittens. There were 3 kittens under the car. They didn't want to leave. They crawled into the engine bay, above the exhaust, under the fenders.. ect.. it took my wife and I about 35 mins to grab them. We placed them in a box and set them free in the backyard where the mother was.
Back to the TL. At this point it's been idling for 15 mins and the lights turned off. I said, well let's go for inspection and see what happens. Drove the car to a private shop and asked them to scan the car and see what comes up prior to the inspection. They called me 30 mins later and told me to take my car because it's "heavily modified".
For those that don't know NJ passenger vehicles only recieve an emissions inspection. Regardless of my modifications, it will pass emissions as it has the last 9 years. I was baffled as this shop did the inspection the last two times. So a bit aggravated, I pick up the TL and head to another private shop.
You're wondering why I'm not going to the DMV inspection station since it's free.. well because they can't drive a fucking manual. True story. Rather not hear them bitch about the car being manual I'd rather pay someone else to inspect it.
Found another shop in my town, they scanned the TL, it was good to go and proceeded with the inspection. Passed. As I expected it was. On the way back home I left it uncovered since the tint company was coming the following day to install V-Kool film on our home windows and he was going to remove the old tint on the TL.
Prior to them working on the TL, I removed the rear seat and 3rd brake light cover. They bagged the rear window as they worked on our home windows. A few hours later they remove the rear tint and ask me to bring them the TL 1st thing in the morning to the shop. I brought them the BMW the same day so they can tint the front windows and do the V-Kool on the windshield.
I moved the TL into my friends garage and leave it there over night. Next morning I take it to the tint shop which is 3 miles away. Pulled into the shop, turned off the TL and I hear noises coming from the metal shields above the exhaust system. Surprise... the kittens took a joy ride to the shop. Now there's 3 of us trying to get kittens to come out.
After another 45 mins of fucking around, we got all 3 kittens in a box. Embrassed, I leave to take the kittens back home...
4 hours later the TL was done. 35% all around and V-Kool on the windshield. My inspection sticker was left off but laminated so it cant be placed back on the windshield unless I used paper tape just to hold it in place while I use the TL. It came out fantastic!
That night, I put the TL back together and gave the interior a good cleaning. The following morning while on my job site, a mobile detailing company did a proper wash. Thanks to my wife for hanging out for the day to assure these guys could open my friends garage and wash the TL.
Today I had a light schedule so I took time to refresh the ceramic coating and snap some photos before covering it. Also replaced two vacuum lines that became too soft and would narrow with the engine runnning. Nothing but OEM parts..It's becoming like a hassle taking this car out and doing the proper prep work to cover it.. oh well.

I've read to use something like ammonia based 409 or straight simple green, bag, & leave for 20-30 minutes in the sun, and the tint will peel off reletively easy without compromising the antenna material.

Thank you very much for the kind words! Thank you for contributing to the 3rd gen community with the rear BBK kit
He sprayed it with windex (original) and yes, it came off easy with the adhesive on the film. The owner of the company was concern to remove the tint without damaging the defroster grid. The tint was installed by the previous owner. So sometime in 2004 or 2005. It was the last remaining thing done by the previous owner that I addressed. This was the time to do it and do it right.
Thank you! The tint was indeed shitty, not something I did. I'm glad it's taken care of now and done right.

That baby purrs.... Literally. I seriously had to re-read that as I thought it was a joke. None the less, glad the TL and the kittens are doing well. The car looks immaculate as usual.

Unfortunately one kitten is missing. Shortly after grabbing them, one jumped out of the box and ran between some homes. I went back a few times to try and find it but with no luck! This morning while getting ready to leave, I saw one kitten by my BBQ grill. Chances are, both kittens are back to the TL again..
