The TL is in Paul's hands now. He's doing the timing belt job. I'm finishing up work I did on the outside of my house. I will post some pictures later once I clean up everything. Paul is a such a great guy, though I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm nuts. I paid him extra to keep the TL in the garage. I sound like a fucking nut. He was impressed how immaculate the TL was. We chatted a bit, he had a TL-S there that was beat to all hell. I told him how rare it is to see one in great condition. It's a shame. There is only a small few of us left with clean TL's. I'm glad you guys are here with them. Side note, on Saturday afternoon a pal of mine (who runs a mobile detailing business) is passing by to properly wash the TL before I cover it. It will be it's 1st official REAL wash since the paint correction (over a year ago).

Hell Yes its a must. My wife's parents are from FL. Her father just moved to NJ a year ago. He complains about the cold but doesn't miss the heat. One thing he doesn't complain about is NJ food. Mainly Pizza, bagels and tayler ham, egg w/cheese sandwich. People in South Jersey call it PORK ROLLS.. Sounds fucking gross. Did you guys have something similar when you lived in CT?
Since I moved to TX its very hard to find a Pizza place that makes good authentic Italian thin crush pizza. Most place here either too thin or holly crap the American thin crush.....
Calzone is what I missed the most. Other than that I don't miss the cold and politic of the northern state at all lol.

Another job in the books for Paul. Timing belt job complete, he also replaced the power steering hose from the pump to the res. as it was cracked again. Picking up the TL tomorrow morning and having my friend do a proper wash before I cover it.

Thanks guys! But real question is.. should I seek professional help now or nah?
Another unexpected issue to address... my drivers side headlight has condensation inside. These headlights were made by JNC ages ago. I might look into a slightly modified set of type-s headlight. More or less just better lenses and possibly smoked ambers.

Likely not but I'm sure there are other hobbies which could be considered a problem.
I mean.. If your kids are wild and your wife is always nagging you, I don't think it's considered a problem .

JNC! Holy shit...haven't heard that name in quite some time.
This last time of doing my headlights I THINK I figured out the formula...and so far...
no condensation either.
I hate your car. It looks so good.

yeah man JNC was the king before anyone else. I got my monies worth from these headlights.
Thank you J!
I thought about remove the headlights and revealing them but honestly, its time for a fresh set. I pulled the trigger for a modified type-s set. Nothing crazy. They will look the same but without any flaking or condensation. All new ballast and ignitors as well. Ill swap over the Philips + bulbs. Here are the my headlights up close. As you can see the inside of the lenses are a bit dull, part of the gloss black paint is peeling and there's a lot of condensation in one.

What's funny about that, a follower on my IG account said when he dropped off his TL to Paul, Paul was showing him my engine bay and said how pristine the car was. Though no offer.. not even $34.50

Oh yes...I'm familiar with the good from far far from good headlights!
I can walk you through my latest iteration on how to seal them well and not have condensation.
Basically the OEM dessicant packs get hard and fully saturated...this last go around I baked the packs
and kinda got them pliable...then I added 4 of these 5 oz gel dessicant packs I bought off of amazon...
I did just a tiny bead around the outside edge with butyl and baked for 10 to soften THEN pressed together.
So far...NO condensation...
I will likely remake some type s blacked out also since I bought some diffusers...will probably do zkw-r in those as well.

-upgraded lenses
-smoked turn signals
-new ballast and ignitors
-plug and play harness (04-06 to 07-08)
-ceramic coated lenses
-I'll swap over my Philips+ bulbs.
The only thing I need to figure out, is the DRL situation. The 2004-06 use fog lights in the headlights as the 07-08 use DRL's. I'll have to modify the bulbs as 9006 vs 9005 have a different guide setup on the bulb where the connector goes. I'll need to cut the guide out.
Thus far, another expensive year with the TL, which is barely driven. I ordered from Chemical guys a bunch of stuff to wash the TL myself every time I use it. Should be exciting..

After thinking about it. I decided to order new D2S light bulbs. Everything will be new anyway so why not just get a better set of light bulbs. After extensive research, I went with OSRAM night breaker. Light output means more to me than color. Headlight setup cost, was just under $1,300

I have CBB in my S2000 and had CBI in my old TL and they went bad but also I don't remember if I originally bought them from amazon and maybe they were fake.
Looking forward to your outcome.

Thank you Alex and welcome back! Acurazine has changed a lot and not for the good. I was ready to leave for good but the crew convinced me to stay <3.

Seems like the same place to me. @Ron A cracking the whip, @thoiboi blocking me, @Yumcha working out, @rockstar143 buying and selling 3Gs, @Midnight Mystery awkwardly washing cars, @DMZ hatin' acura customer service and loving being an original owner of a Green/Camel 3G 6MT, @truonghthe collecting 3Gs, @#1 STUNNA and @Bearcat94 posting radical left memes in the political threads, @zeta giving good suggestions and helpfully guiding Acura enthusiests, @Majofo and @TacoBello ghosting around the forum. You obsessing over every detail of preservation for your 3G.
Its all good!

New custom made headlights are complete and on their way. Excellent work by WiseDetailz. These are new oem type-s headlights modified. I'll need to buy amber side marker bulbs and modify the drl bulbs.
