XLR8 vs ATLP

Hey everyone I am new to acurazine. I just got an 08 NBP TL-S 6MT with 28k for 28g. I was doing some research and youtubing and was trying to see which exhaust set up sounds better. What are some of your opinions.

XLR8 cat back, J pipe and high flow cat or

Atlp with J pipe and rv6 rv3 pre cat deletes correct me if I am wrong just new to the game.

Will any of these throw check engines lights or fail emissions. I am in VA if anyone is in the area. Thanks and i appreciate it.

Use the search button my friend... there are way too many variables & combos to put all into 1 post. PLUS.... what you think is "good sounding" may seem horrible to some one else. Are you young? (no disrespect) If so, you might like the throatier roar than a subtle G35 sound. If you want more quiet... maybe a stage 3 exaust?

Here are some search key words for ya to try.

"Stage 3"
"ATLP V2"
"Richie"
"RV6"
"XLR8"

or try 2 of those words & put "vs" between them.

PS... on a final note. Youtube & user vids may not sound the same in the vid as in person. Usually Camera Mics cant record the sound correctly. I can suggest 2 options. #1 TRIAL & ERROR and #2 Go to the "regions" part of AZINE & connect with some one in your area with the mods already installed.

if you do PCD's you're playing with fire when it comes to an emissions test. Probably will fail, especially if you do a HFC or race pipe too. Plus it'll be raspy and it will smell. Some like it, many others don't, but overall I think it's personal preference. I'm getting the ATLP base resonated exhaust & v2 jpipe here soon on my base TL...want to keep it stealthy while having a little something extra (have an AEM v2 intake also, i recommend that too). I'm keeping all my cats/pre-cats stock because we have some pretty thorough testing here in CO. I've heard the power gains on the PCDs are impressive, but you have to weigh it against a possible failed emission & increased fumes. Just my $.02

Hey guys thanks for the input. Well I dont know what you consider young but i am 26. I like subtle sounds i thinkg the g35s and 350s etc sound great, i mean i want a little more growl than that but not to much . I called xlr8 performance and i am going with the xlr8 reson, j pipe and high flow cat back, and aem v3 intake. Ill post pics of everything when i get the chance.

I own the same exact car as you essentially and in my signature lists my mods. I'll say right now you'll be fine with the gains you get from just Exhaust to Jpipe. I personally hate the sounds that the Pre-cats give off. Anything near rasp I avoided! You'd be fine with just up to Jpipe, I guarantee it!

Thanks i think that i will get the highflow cat though. its not a delete and it will make for a lil bit more airflow without causing any rasp. Because i too hate that annoying sound. I just love the nice growl this combination will give to my ride.
