not quite... the a pillar only moves out a bit for the airbag to deploy. it doesn't blow off. i've seen the side air bags deployed and am confident it doesn't interfere.. if you are nervous, put it in front of the instrument cluster on the plastic shroud that covers the steering column. good luck

yeah i should have it mounted today, they mounting kit that came with the gauge only allows the gauge to be mounted from the back, not from the side like i see with your gauges

What brand boost guage did you buy? I'll be asking the same question once I get one.

I mounted my boost and AFR guage on the steering column with carbon fiber gauge cups on the back.

Fiberglass one of the vents on the upper console in the middle of the car. Why do you need all the vents? The car will still cool/heat using the rest of the vents.

OK, here are some pics...the top two are NOT my car...but somebody elses on here that my design in the third pic is copied after. Not a good one on the third pic I know...but its pretty much the same as the first two...only I didnt make a mounting plate, but just mounted them directly to the column itself. If you compare the two designs...basically the first two pics show his design and they are offset to the right and left a bit more as on my design on the third pic...they are a bit tighter to the column themselves. I tried to get em to hug some of the other gauge hubs more or less...so I could see everything...even these two gauges without a problem...but honestly...I dont know about the first design..but I have to wrench my head around a bit to see the info display screen...but honestly..never paid attention to it anyway...so no big deal.

I do understand your opinion....but rather than be the typical "armchair quarterback" Acurazine is famous for.... why dont you come up with better solutions rather than nothing more than more or less..."honoring" us with your opinion? Solutions are WAY more helpful that just reining down on us with your opinions. Thanks for your opinion anyway....its people like this that keep the pool of new options and ideas presented here on AZ semi-limited as nobody wants to "show and tell" new ideas anymore.

Sorry, just havent had the time to do the fiberglass work to get them in the center console vents. I have an extra piece already, just haven't had any time to work on it. Hope to play with it some this summer. Really busy with the strut bar and the other work I have going on!!! Jason

No reason to appologize man....thats the kinda solutions I am talking about. Its just...the other dude was basically all....meh....dont like it....gotta work on better, ect but has no solutions to offer whatsoever. Its as if we are graced to hear his opinion of what others offered up as a possible solution. Thats what I was talking about. This site is full of em....I call em armchair quarterbacks....basically people with nothing more to add other than.....I like it...or I dont like it. I mean...if somebody asks for opinions its another thing...but when somebody clearly asks - "what can they do to mount a boost gauge" and people come and give them possibilities or suggestions or solutions as I will coin them.....its really a proper application of time and place at that point. Basically...nobody asked what they thought or to be graced with their opinions on a specific solution....they asked for possible solutions....not what ones opinion was on solutions provided. Just like the vent mount solution you are proposing....innovative idea and a cool application....and a solution...not spouting an opinion with no proposed solution. Worth consideration no doubt. But what is there to consider in....Meh....and then tossing out nothing and being an armchair QB? See what I am saying....wasnt talking about you man....you proposed solutions!

Wow, don't know how I missed this one. After debating this topic for a while, I finally decided to mount the gauge in the most discrete location I could think of... near the ignition switch, right below the speedometer. I know some ppl may think it's a bad location, but I can see it clearly, and best thing is, no one else can
I'll snap a few pics once it's daylight over here.
