I worked on my exhaust piecemeal simply due to budget. Jpipe first (which also deleted mid cat), mid muffler delete, HFPC's, then rear muffler delete. It was at the rear muffler delete that I realized I went too far so I reversed that. I only unbolted and removed the drivers side one and it sounded like ass. But with those other three modifications it's right where I want it.
Yeah i dont need to yell at the person next to me, or turn my music up to 40. The exhaust is pretty loud but it does shred haha in a good way. The reason i felt the need to scream was because i was sick and have some pretty bad laryngitis so talking normally was even hard. Also im not sure about your mods but it seems once you did the rear muffler delete because of your previous modifications it got ruined. Keep in mind everything is stock except a straight piped mid muffler and a resonator. So deep tone and straight pipes is all im running. It gives a nice agressive rumble on start up and when driving around at WOT it sounds like a racecar. Granted this is a TL and it isnt a "slow" car by comparasion with everything on the road but i love it. I think im going to keep it for a while as i have gotten massive compliments from tuners and the regular folk around town, and everytime im complimented it solidifies my love for the exhaust. I know its not for everyone but if you want something really aggressive that even pople who are usually very conservative compliment i think this is the set up for you. Well.... this and ATLP hahaha

I skimmed but loud is ok for a track car when you only need your eyes to see guages.

If you can't hold a conversation somethings wrong.

If you don't have a need for 3" straight pipe then mufflers are your friend. Hell I even ran a cat on one of my drag cars to eliminate rasp.

3" cat 18" resonator and vibrant turbo muffler.

Had full 3" exhaust from header to tip and the difference between straight pipe nothing to "full restricted" I lost 4 whp. That was worth it to me. I made it up in advancing timing.

You could barely hear the car at idle and in vtec it screamed like a banshee.

Less is not always best. YMMV

Just answering the thread title...

When you look at people and just by reading their face, you can tell they're calling you a douche.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it is a slow car. its a heavy ass honda 4 door! nothing like a screaming loud car moving just barely faster than a family in an accord to scream RICER! The intent when you place yor right foot on the floor is to move faster than your adjacent auto, not just get louder than the adjacent auto????
