Upgraded brake lines
Upgraded brake lines
I just replaced my oem brake lines with Goodridge steel braided lines.. Wow what a difference feels like I have a new brake system, and I haven't even upgraded my rotors or pads yet. I would higly recommend it if you looking for a easy way to improve your braking.
Peace out!!!!

the improvement in braking is sort of subjective... what I mean is you could have had a little bit of air in the lines and a simple bleed would have been suffice
the only reason I see upgraded brake lines to be needed is when the factory requires replacing
furthermore better fluid w/ oe brake lines is also a cheaper solution

Better fluid, and I'm no expert (but I've done this before) is really all about the boiling point. Unless you REALLY race a lot, you're never going to get to the point of boiling it. I still haven't found any evidence that SS lines do much, not that they don't look pretty cool. If you can lock up your brakes with rubber lines, what's the point of SS lines? It'd be nice to see an objective before/after test with stopping distances.

I bought techna fits off a site for 78 or so shipped. I still need to put it on since I am debating what color to powdercoat the calipers then do it all the same time...Anyway if you plan to diy make sure you take those fittings off with a flare nut wrench to prevent stripping of the fitting. A normal wrench will usually round it off.
