Any shop should just have it. Just have it removed.

no. an exhaust shop deals with piping all day every day.
that's what they do. they're in the business of exhausts and has stock piles of straight pipe
they have piping of all sorts of different sizes.

if you tell them to cut the mid-muffler and replace it with a straight pipe, thats what they'll do.

If an exhaust shop, whos only job is to deal with exhaust piping, doesnt have straight pipes. Gtfo of there and go to a real shop. Any meineke can do this.

Any shop will have pipe, or any parts store, if you want stainless you might want to order a short piece of 2.5" ahead of time. I replaced my mid muffler with a Flowmaster 10 series and cut off the rear mufflers. It's loud.

Definitely get rid of that mid muffler. It`s not a huge increase in sound, but I find it rumbles at idle just a bit more.

Worth the $30 it cost me to have the mid-muffler cut out and a straight pipe welded in place of it.
