Throttle body spacer?

Does this actually add more power at the wheels? Noob question but if so how and is the install fairly easy? Will it throw any engine codes or anything if anyone knows. Thanks

There have been claims that it adds some like 1-2 whp and some others say bs. But I can tell you that your throttle response increases and you might get better gas mileage from it depending how you drive obviously. I have the P2R throttle body spacer and it wasn't a bad install at all. No engine codes either. Oh, and you might hear some whistling sound from your engine at certain rpms depending on how heavy your foot is.

Hey thanks yeah I saw it on Excelerate Performance and wasnt sure it if actually worked. Off topic but I keep reading and hearing everyone ranting and raving about the 6MT GM synchromesh fluid..what do you know about that?

No the TB spacer will not throw any codes. Also, it will NOT increase horsepower to the wheels. I have dyno sheets with SAE corrected numbers in my album to verify that. My car lost almost 5 horsepower to the wheels by adding the spacer. So ofcourse I removed it. The spacer is really better for cars with forced induction.

your better off with the thermal gasket. At least if you go WOT your intake manifold is cool to the touch. But it doesn't prevent heatsoaks. Just slows it down.
