The Sway Bar
This has been said before, but its worth repeating. I finally got my new CompTech rear sway bar installed on my 5AT For those that have not considered this, it makes a big difference for certain handling attributes. This is approximately the same size as in the 6AT, I believe. It is noticable and realtively cheap.

i just picked up the comptech RSB from the dealer today for $119. I have a few questions about it. Is it recommended to install it byt he acura dealer (i dont wanna install it myself just because of the fact i dont wanna screw anything up)? Another question is for the people who have the Comptech RSB installed in their third generation 5AT TL, what exactly do you notice in handling of your car and and does the RSB improve anyting else?

I had a great experience with this upgrade, yes you will feel it on nearly every turn and i feel tempted to push the limit driving down on-ramps and off-ramps. install it yourself all you need are 2 different socket sizes and an allen key-wrench thing no specialty tools necessary i didnt have to remove the exhaust to install her. and now im love with comptech and hope to buy more from it.

This was one of the easiest mods I've done! Took about 10 mins after the car was up in the air. If you have any mechanical knowledge at all and a metric socket set, do it yourself, 4 bolts and 2 nuts isn't really a huge task and you save money!

I just got my car back from the dealer last night after having their loaner for a week. I sure did miss my car with the RSB as the loaner car felt very floaty on the turns. I would do this mod again in a heartbeat.

hey everyone i just got my car back today from the dealer after they installed the Comptech RSB and it handles way better now. You can really feel it on the tight curves and on the freeway switching and swirving. It was the first investment i made on my TL and I am very happy with it. One thing does concern me, my usual advisor wasnt there today so i spoke to another one. She asked me if the RSB was still under the warranty but i remember my advisor tell me that any pat purchased from them is considered under warranty. Anyways i still told the lady that is was under warranty. Was she just trippin or does it really void your warranty?

It should be under warranty and should have its own warranty since they installed it. By the way Join us on the 22nd for A bbq FOLLOW THE LINK:

I have both the front and rear swaybar upgrades ordered through TheTireRack.com, made by H&R. Taking forever, it seems, as both are backorderd, but I'm looking forward to them greatly!

Good luck with that one.

Yeah, they are, big time. I'm hoping to get them in SOME time close to when i get the coilovers I have ordered, and have them installed at the same time. I don't want to have to do that mess in the driveway at all.
But, the diameter increase is a significant one to say the least.
