Damn, what a flashback to the couple days when i was actually doing my install....so much fun....scared and nervous like crazy for everything to turn out perfect but fun. I of course then had a ECU problem that took another 2 days to settle that was just me. Enjoy the install!

Details of Weird encounters for future 07-08 Type S Supercharger Owners. (any DIY'ers can do this)
Battery Tray + Battery. It fits but the transmission is big. I have to cut off the coolant resvior bracket and cut an opening for the shift linkage. The only battery that will work is a 151R battery out of a Honda Fit. Its perfect.
Fan Shroud Cutting. NOT REQUIRED. The supercharger sits different on the j35a8 motors. Dont hack it up.
Engine Cooling Hose. For the Type S i had to route this last. The engine and supercharger gave me just enough room to go in between the EGR and supercharger outlet. it will very tight but enough room for the pressure to expand.
The Fuel Pump Regulator, For the Type S the fuel pump Casing is different from the j32a. it has two feed hole instead of one. other than that it pretty much the same.
The Starter will hit the base of the supercharger. Like i said before its Huge! I had to grind down the starter positive terminal and use a thin nut. The cut was half of the terminal. easy for any DIYers
Oil cap will not fit because the hex bolt is thick. i have to use a thin 10mm bolt without a washer and tighten it down. I couldnt use the Hex Bolt supplied because it touched the oil cap. ( Main Engine S/C bracket..Camseal) it fits, just needed to change out 1 bolt.
Engine cover will NOT FIT. Cutting the edge is required
The two main bolts that holds the cam seal mount together will go in. it will be hard to get in but it WILL go in.
Coolant overflow bottle was relocated from Cte orignal location
Everything else is Plug and Play.
The Good encounters.
The Supercharger kit FITS, not 100% but 95%. (including all hardware, Mounts, hoses, Cte blower unit and Modifications)
Hondata Flash Pro is avaliable.
The alignment of parts.
The engine layout is idenitical to the j32a except the transmisson.
the intake elbow, spacer, hoses, pulleys and hardware all worked without modifiying it.
Enjoy i have more too come.

Im not done yet. my laptop went back to the orignal owner(kid sister) and my Supercharger Base Map is on her laptop. I still have to zip tie the main harness and wire loom a lot of the brittle ones. I have to clean up all the dust and dirt that collected during the install. all the coolant, oil and fluids have to be cleaned up. Im still upset i had to extend the throttle body wire. (note: Never steam clean your engine because as heat rises the wire looms become brittle and crumble.)
I have a 3 inch intake that i can use but i dont want to tune it with a small diameter. so more delays. Im changing the oil to Castrol Syntec 5w20 from royal purple HPS. I have royal purple max ATF in my transmission which is the best ATF for acura's in my opinion. Im thinking of using straight water with a coolant additive to stay COOL. I will spray Belt Conditioner to make sure the pulleys and belt make good traction. I think my belt tensior might be going bad (preventive Maintence) because it was hard to compress when i removed my belt. enough with spending money on repairs, the tensonier can wait, i need insane tq.

My girl is begging me that I take her and my son out to Hollywood Universal studios. Completion of the Supercharger is on a stop again. Its ok because Ill be driving her ZDX. the Super Handling on this is amazing, the acceleration is very good and OH soo smooth. The ZDX was the 1st of Acura's line up to have the 6sp AT.

Its sad we have to rotate the zdx n tl type s with street parking. Long beach california is over populated n our duplex parking is packed

I dont like her zdx being parked on the street. I rather park my tls on the street because it smells like fuel everytime i start it. The pcd is loud at startup. Since my car is getting revised engine work, the great white shark is parked outside.

So its been tried and true. Comptech engineering 04-08 tl sc kit fits the tl type s. Next is a visit to church auto in wilimington california. Dyno graphs will be up as soon my income tax refund gets here.

I wasn't sold on the ZDX when I test drove it, but that's another thread discussion
Finding a great tuner will make a world of a difference in reliability for daily driving. I would also suggest a meth kit to keep the IM temps down... Regardless whether you get on it every so often or not, the m62 gets EXTREMELY hot under the hood even at idle since it's constantly spinning. Better to have it for preventative purposes then not to have it at all...
on the build; looking good dude!

did you drive the acura zdx advance package or the Tech package? everytime i drive my girls ZDX it feels like my 1st test drive.

there is a power lag when you been driving for a while and its heatsoak. You will notice it. Also it doesn't help that CA only has 91 oct. W/M lowers IAT, ECT, and helps prevent detonation. Remember your car has a 11.1 CR.

Not running meth with the blower is a big mistake, it's more important than with the turbo since the supercharger is much less efficient and non intercooled, not just for performance but for engine longevity but that's already been made clear.
That RP ATF is a Dex III fluid but with less film strength than some of the top fluids. It's definitely better than the stock fluid. Any plans to upgrade the cooler?
Straight distilled water will cool better but whatever additive you use it needs to have the corrosion inhibitors for aluminum and lube the water pump. I just run a weaker mixture of the stock fluid.
I do not suggest a 20wt with the blower and if you do, Redline is the only one with a high enough HTHS. The oil will be running hotter with the blower so it will be thinner. A 30wt will be as thin as a 20wt at full temp with the blower and the higher HTHS is needed to protect the engine with the added torque.
Looking forward to your results but it would suck to destroy a ring land from detonation from the superheated intake charge with boost on top of high compression. There was a time when many people thought the limit of the stock bottom end was about 340hp because all of the supercharged engines were blowing up. To be fair that was before there were any supercharger tunes so I'm sure your results will be somewhere between the first batch of supercharged 3Gs and the methanol injected 3Gs. Whatever you do, keep it out of prolonged periods under boost. For point and squirt action you should be fine.

Everything was bolted on today and it started up. I rush over to church auto for a tune but todd (tuner) said he can only tune it for drivability n i will have to come back for the full tune. While i was driving i feathered the gas pedal all the way there. My max speed was 35mph. I got there safe.

I ended up fabbing a 3.5 inch intake. I feel safer with a cai. Anyway i will not post a pic on the intake, it isnt good looking at all but fuctional.
I have a bad power steering whine because the feed line isnt flowing to good. Im getting a hose to replace the o.e.m one. The fluid is not making its way to the pump
The radiator dump tube broke. The hose that runs to the resivor is useless but i manage to slow down the leak with a zip tie. Bad news
The base map i got from doug was a bust and didnt work. It didnt load up as an automatic transmisson map but i still had my rdx injector map.
Remember me posting about my belt tensioner being bad..this is where bad news become worst news

^^^ dude, ease off man....this thread is about the supercharger and not why your PS system is whining and your coolant is leaking....
